I had a wonderful time on pilgrimage to Mexico City and singing for Mass at the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Our group of singers from across the country had excellent tour guides, lodging, and rehearsal space and time. All of the restaurants we visited had delicious food. There was a powerful prayerful element to the trip, although it was often up to the pilgrims to generate and sustain that aspect of the journey. The trip was well organized. Details of each day did not always go according to the original plan, but changes were communicated frequently and clearly. The app proved to be useful, and our guides were easily accessible. The sights and venues on the tours were outstanding, and there was adequate free time built into the itinerary as well. Given the opportunity, I would gladly take such a trip again.
I am glad I went on this trip, and I am glad that it was planned for me. Mexico City itself is not much of an attractive city in my opinion, and I don't know if I planned my trip myself if I would've been happy with my choices. However, I didn't like that most of the trip was what tourists "wanted to see". My favorite parts of the trip were when we went to a plaza area or the vendors near the hotel on Sunday, the things that felt more culturally revealing. All in all, the tour guides were amazing, the organization was pretty well thought out, and I liked the free time opportunities worked in.
Well organized while on the trip. Transportation, meals and communication we handled well while in Mexico.
Very poor communication prior to the departure. Would have liked to have more communication about what to expect and take much earlier. We didn’t get a list of items to pack until 10 or 11 days beforehand.
We very much enjoyed the entire pilgrimage! The transportation, accommodations and food were all well planned and comfortable. The guides/drivers were all great! The locations we visited were all beautiful and spiritually moving!! Thank you!
Wonderful mix of music and tours of Mexico.
It was especially nice that the composer, Frank LaRocca was with us for the whole week. I would like to know if there is a recording of the concert available.
