Enjoy a late start as you recover from your travel. Feel free to skip any activities throughout the week. This retreat is for you, and you choose what to do and not do.

At 10:00 we will gather for a rainforest hike and dip in the river. 

After lunch we will have a tour of the Maya Plaza, massages for those who scheduled them, and free time for relaxation and exploration until dinner at 6:30.

After dinner we will hold a meditation class.

 head to Nohoch Che'en to enjoy Zip Lining, Lunch, and then Cave Tubing!

On our way back from the adventures, you will stop by a local gift shop for an opportunity to shop for souvenirs or grab a snack at the cafe.

The evening will be for downtime, dinner and socializing, and some inspirational content from Jessica.

Start your morning with a birding tour to spot some of the nearly 300 bird species that frequent the property at Jade Jungle Resort.

Enjoy fitness class, trail hiking and a picnic lunch in the meadow.

In the afternoon, try your hand at making chocolate the ancient Maya way before another delicious dinner and evening breathing exercise.

Mid morning we will head to Rio On Pools for a picnic lunch. Enjoy swimming in the pools, slides and waterfalls.

After lunch we will take a short drive and hike down some steep steps and over rocks to get to Big Rock Falls for a nice swim and photo op. For the adventurous types, cliff jumping is also available here.

Enjoy more downtime and a nice dinner in the evening along with more content from Jessica.

cross the hand-cranked ferry, and then hike a quarter mile up the hill to explore the Maya Temples. Those who would like to can climb to the top of El Castillo 130 feet (40M) high and get breathtaking views of Western Belize and into Guatemala. After a picnic lunch we will head to Green Hill Butterfly Ranch and learn about the lifecycle of the butterfly along with viewing several species from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis and finally as butterflies. You will also see many species of hummingbirds.

Embark on A Journey to Barton Creek Cave, a natural wonder tucked amidst Belize's verdant beauty. Glide serenely through its limestone corridors on a peaceful canoe ride, marveling at the delicate formations and timeless Mayan echoes.  

 We will go to ATM Cave where the Maya people performed rituals and sacrifices for hundreds of years. You will hike about 1.5 miles including three river crossings, and then swim into the cave about 50 feet. After your swim you will hike through the cave system stream for another half mile until you reach the cathedral and the areas where most of the rituals were performed. You will see many artifacts and even human remains. After the tour, you will head back to the trailhead for a late lunch, and then return to the resort. 

 Adventure to Cahal Pech, an ancient Maya site nestled in the jungles of Belize.  Explore the site's rich history through guided tours, uncovering secrets of Maya civilization. Relax

Discover the wonders of St. Herman’s Cave and the Blue Hole on a scenic tour located just twelve miles southeast of Belmopan. Explore the fascinating cave system, admiring beautiful speleothems and ancient Mayan artifacts. Afterward, enjoy a peaceful float back to the cave entrance on an inner tube. Cool off with a refreshing swim in the sapphire-colored waters of the Blue Hole, formed by the collapse of an underground limestone cave.

 Caracol is the largest Maya site in Belize and covers some 35 sq miles, with 36,000 structures marked so far. Restoration at this massive Maya city is ongoing. A day trip to the site takes you up through the rugged backroads of the Mountain Pine Ridge and deep into the folds of the Maya Mountains. Time permitting, your guide will take you to see the Rio Frio Cave and the Rio On Pools on the journey to and from Caracol - so bring your bathing suit! (Please note that the travel time to Caracol is approximately 3 hours each way.) 

 The tour begins with a rigorous hike over jungle clad limestone hills that lead up, up and up to the edge of a collapsed cave system with high forest growing out of the center and massive caverns on either end. Here your skilled team of guides will prepare you to rappel over the lip of cave and abseil the 300 feet down into the collapsed cavern's floor. Enjoy lunch in the shade of the forest growing out of the cave before beginning the exciting return up and out into the light. 

 Belize's charming little zoo has gained world renown as a home for animals native to Belize where they can be viewed in their natural setting. All of the animals living at the zoo were rescued as orphans, from poaching situations, the illegal pet trade, injury, or exposure due to habitat loss. Most of the animals that you will see at the zoo are also found in Jade Jungle Resort, but unless you get really lucky, a zoo stop is your best bet at seeing a Jaguar or Tapir in Belize! 

Step into the heart of Maya culture as you participate in a hands-on experience crafting a classic Maya dish. Learn traditional techniques passed down by direct descendants of the ancient Maya, using locally sourced ingredients. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and knead tortillas by hand, just as they've been made for generations, over the open flames of our heart fire.

 Set out for the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, a vast expanse of protected jungle. Delight in a tranquil picnic lunch amidst the rich biodiversity of the rainforest.  Hikes through lush trails, keeping an eye out for elusive jaguars and colorful bird species. Conclude your day with a serene dinner, surrounded by the sights and sounds of Belize's untamed wilderness. 

 Tikal is one of the most famous and impressive Maya sites in Mesoamerica with over 3,000 excavated structures and several of the tallest temples in the Maya World - it truly is a must-see in this part of the world! Nestled on hills in the heart of Guatemala's Maya Biosphere Reserve, the tour offers a perfect combination of archeology and jungle wildlife. Your guide, a knowledgeable Tikal expert, will give you a glimpse into the past of one of the world's most impressive early civilizations and help you to spot the howler monkeys, spider monkeys, oscillated turkeys, coatis and other amazing wildlife that frequent this massive jungle park. The day trip includes all transportation, border crossing fees, park entrance fee to Tikal, guided tour of the site, and lunch. (Visitors from some countries are required to obtain a special visa to enter Guatemala - check with your local passport agency to see if your country is one of them before leaving home.) 

This site was central to the Mayan city that once occupied the area where San Ignacio is now, which is the second largest city in Belize. The site offers a variety of structures to explore and the ability to imagine what life was like 1,500 years ago.

Cahal Pech was the royal acropolis-palace of an elite Maya family during the classic period. This tour is available to all age.

Pair with Xunantunich, Macal River, Barton Creek Cave, Chocolate Making, San Ignacio Market Day (On Saturdays only), or Butterfly Ranch +$20.

These natural pools are built right into the river with beautiful blue water and fish joining your swim. Rent a canoe or kayak for an extra fee, or just enjoy the scenery and the cool water.

On the weekends locals often gather for futbol games, and for swimming in the man-made pool open only on the weekends. This tour is not available in the driest times of the year depending on rain. Ask if it’s available if you are coming during the summer months or early fall.

 Visit the Belmopan Market on Tuesday or Friday only. At the market you will be able to see how the locals shop, try out some natural juices or street food from vendors, and learn about the various fruits and vegetables available from local growers. 

Head to the beach for a day of toes in the sand and listening to the waves roll in. 

You will head to Hopkins Village in southern Belize and visit Jaguar Reef resort, which has a beautiful beach and the amazing Big Dock Bar. 

At the Big Dock Bar you can rope swing into the ocean, lounge on nets, or swing at the bar. There’s something for everyone on this excursion.

 The tour includes your lunch, but does not include drinks or other extras. This is not an area for great snorkeling, so the tour is focused on beach time! 

After your last Belizean breakfast buffet you will wish all your new friends a fond farewell and be taken to the airport for your departing flight.
