Run in the jungle with Wildmarathon's Maya Marathon

Mexico Marathon December 13th 2026

Run a Marathon, Half Marathon or 10k on the paradisiacal island of Cozumel in Mexico staying in a 5* all-inclusive hotel with parallel activities as diving or visiting Maya ruins.

Cozumel is one of the most prepared places in Mexico to host sporting events. Here, events of the stature of IRONMAN are held and it has been the first destination to hold a sports event in the post-covid-19 era.

Upon 3 months prior notice: 25 % Cancellation fee is applicable 

Upon 2 months prior notice: 50 % Cancellation fee is applicable 

Upon 1 month prior notice: 100 % Cancellation fee is applicable

- 2% dirt road

The organization has sought the best dates (December) to have the mildest temperatures and avoid tropical storms, so dry weather is assumed without major alterations but this is not under control, even so, environmental conditions could vary.

Temperature is expected that could vary from 19ºC at the start to 26ºC at the finish line at the time of the year of the celebration. The organization will put a clothing delivery point in case any participant wants to leave a cap, jacket, etc.

The circuit is practically flat with only about 30 meters of accumulated unevenness in the marathon distance. There are no slopes greater than 2% in any section. Recommended shoe: Asphalt or mixed.

It runs through off-road sectors along the beach 3%, but most of them through an asphalt bike lane  65% and a dirt road in good condition with views of the ocean 32%.

Arrival and transfer from Cozumen Island airport to Occidental Hotel. Then we will have lunch, experience the Race Briefing Maratón Maya and finish the day with a delicious dinner.

We start with breakfast, then we will go on a tour to review the race and visit the Mayan archaeological settlements and the Natural Park of Punta Sur. Lunch and in the afternoon resting time and stretching session with the sunset

The third day of the adventure will start with breakfast. Then it will be time for the Full Marathon / Half Marathon / 10 k and the organisation will take care of the transfers to the starting point for each distance. Then we will have lunch and in the evening we will have dinner and the trophy presentation.

On the fourth day, the organisation will take care of breakfast, we will organise a visit to Mayan archaeological ruins. In the afternoon is the time for the Snorkeling activity in a private boat with some drinks and meals. We will return to our hotel for free time.

On the last day, we will have breakfast and enjoy free time at the resort. Afterwards we will arrange for departure transfers. These will be valid within the island of Cozumel. Not available in Cancun or other locations.
