      About this trip

      Step into your fullest potential.

Healing Ourselves, Healing Nature is a 10-day, 9-night adventure in reconciling and deepening our relationship with Mother Earth.

We are honored to journey once again to Finca Camino Nuevo, tucked in the ethereal mountains and misty forests just below the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Preserve.

Our stories of separation from nature and each other are the seeds of the global challenges we face. Creating a compassionate culture of belonging from which to change the world is a crucial part of global healing.

This revolutionary eco retreat is guided by three questions:

      • What is the nature of embodiment and interdependence?
      • How can we promote belonging?
      • Why is personal growth and renewal a vital dimension of flourishing and wise environmental stewardship?

Together we delve into the dynamic interdependence of self, community, and Mother Earth, framed within a larger conversation about sustainability, equity, and well-being.

Along our journey, we build community, practice mindfulness meditation techniques, explore embodiment practices and ecstatic dance, ceremony, enjoy tea ritual and expressive arts, engage in vibrant discussion, and rest. The living land is our central teacher.

We guide participants through three phases that correspond to some of the key factors involved in flourishing such as gratitude, belonging, awareness, insight, expression, resilience, purpose and action. Along the way, we foster skills that help us be present to and work with climate anxiety, grief, fear, anger, shame, and guilt.

      • Develop and enhance lasting connection to the living land through nature-based contemplative practices
      • Bolster resilience around climate anxiety, grief, fear, anger, shame and guilt
      • Foster a culture of belonging and inclusivity, and build lasting relationships
      • Deepen understanding of interdependence and key ingredients of flourishing
      • Create unique pathways to wise environmental stewardship and compassionate community leadership, whatever one’s occupational path may be.

Healing Ourselves, Healing Nature can help participants step into their fullest potential through considering their unique gifts, backgrounds, and life situations to envision actionable steps towards promoting a more socially and ecologically harmonious world.

Blake, Sarah and Alex ♥️ Thank you for the memories in a pure and spectacular land. Costa Rica and Finca Camino Nuevo were such a sweet home. Keith’s Watsu even, my favorite wow healing practice! I loved our community gathering space and the way you deeply and profoundly cultivated community. I am grateful for the curated conversation around how we can continue to meaningfully participate in the ecology of our Earth home. Also spectacular we’re Sarah’s dance and movement offerings, Blake’s truth practice and Alex’s Tonglen offering. Yes to waterfalls! I am grateful for the songs and intimacy with the Huni Kuin and would especially like to learn more about the experiences of indigenous women. Sharing in this time with you and our community was transformative for me. In beauty and love all ways, Surya
