The day is spent winding through the Trisuli River Gorge on the Prithvi Highway westward toward Pokhara. The damage inflicted by the brutal 2015 earthquake is still apparent in the some of the villages we pass through. We’ll spend our first night in the beautiful village of Bandipur and take in some of the stunning examples of Newari architecture.

Pokhara will serve as our base for two nights to allow us ample time for excursions up into the mountains. Serenely situated on Phewa Tal, the second largest lake in the country, we will have sufficient time to walk or bike around the lake perimeter to take in the full grandeur of this perfectly situated town. We will take advantage of our free day with some whitewater rafting on the Upper Set River. 

Day 6 sends us southward toward India. We’ll carve the day through lush valleys and majestic mountain passes along the Siddhartha Highway to the quaint

hillside town of Tansen. Perched high above the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the place exudes a charming medieval quality and provides a perfect spot to while

away an evening in the mountains.

It was 2,500 years ago the Siddhartha Gautama was born in the town in Lumbini. We’ll spend an afternoon exploring the site and taking in the Mayadevi Temple that celebrates his life as one of our civilisation’s spiritual icons.

Today is a cruising day along the East – West Highway that brings us to lower elevations and warmer climes. And for those with inclination, a little offroading is also in store.

We end our day at the Chitwan National Park. Considered one of the best national parks in Asia, we’ll spend two nights at one of the best lodges within the park perimeter.

A bike free day will allow us to spend it taking in much of the natural beauty of this beautiful place. A group Jeep safari and a short trek will allow you to get up close an personal with the park’s population of elephants, rhinos, sloths and maybe, just

maybe, the elusive Bengal tiger.

Leaving the steamy 1,000 ft elevation behind, we climb via endless switchbacks to the town of Nuwakot. On the way over back into the Kathmandu Valley, we will (hopefully!) be able to take in what is arguably the best view in all Nepal. From Dhaulagiri to Mount Everest, it’s all there for you to drink in.

A nice, leisurely jaunt back to our beautiful Kathmandu base, the Baber Mahal Vilas Hotel. A final dinner in the old town to wrap up your adventure and exchange ideas for the next big ride1

A final goodbye as we shuttle you off to the airport for your flight home, memories and scenery still whirling through your head. Sit back in your seat and let the broad grin beam across your face.
