Vaza: Have you ever felt empty, stuck, that feeling of waiting for something that will make you feel whole? That's when I found yoga. It was about 10 years ago when I was working as an Occupational Therapist in psychiatry. I liked my job, I had a great apartment, a car, great friends; but still, I was waiting for something to happen. I was ready for a change and decided to go backpacking for one year to find out who I was and what I want. I signed up for a yoga teacher training in San Francisco and that is where I finally had the feeling of rebirth. By practicing yoga and breathing with intention, my whole life started to change and the magic began. I moved to San Francisco after traveling the world and started my new life. Through yoga I feel connected, alive, and happy. Yogitine: I am a dedicated Vinyasa yoga practitioner. I have been doing yoga on a regular basis since 2008. I started practising after I burned myself out several times. This happened at such a young age that I realised I had to make some drastic changes in my life. This realisation brought me to do yoga so I could learn how to find calmness in myself and understand the boundaries of my body. I explored various yoga styles and teachers until I settled with a more powerful style that helps me deal with my busy daily life. I love the energy my body creates, and the stillness in my mind, while posing in a powerful asana.

“Martine Hamers loves outdoors and nature, otherwise we wouldn’t have our classes in the most iconic public park in the heart of the “concrete jungle” (aka Sao Paulo). Her classes were a refreshing opportunity to meditate on one’s body by using breath and mindfulness meditation at the beginning of the classes. I loved the unexpectedness of her routine, as she would vary between gentle stretches and powerful poses.” (Source: yogitine.wordpress.com - shortened)

"Vanessa is awesome! Even though I'm not a morning person, I make it a point to get to her Saturday morning Vinyasa class. I always walk out feeling stronger, energized and ready for the weekend. Vanessa is very kind, down to earth and over all a great instructor. Levels of experience varies and she's good at pushing each students personal capabilities and limits. I'm definitely hooked on Vanessa's class and feel like she's taken me to a new level in yoga." (Source: www.vazayoga.com - shortened)
