Since 1981 little village in western Herzegovina, Medjugorje, has been a place of prayer and devotions to Our Lady, to Gospa as Croatians call her! After so many years, it will be the 40th Anniversary in 2021; Medjugorje still attracts thousands of pilgrims daily!

Departure from your city, Birmingham BHM, your departure airport, flight to Europe. Your final destination is the Republic of Croatia, International airport Split. Flights to the Republic of Croatia are always through one of the major international airports in Europe.

Upon our arrival at the Split International Airport in Croatia, we meet our guide and bus driver for transfer to Medjugorje. Our accommodation in Medjugorje is in a 4* star hotel just across from St. James Medjugorje parish church. In the afternoon we will have a short panoramic bus tour before we check-in to our hotel for 7 nights stay. On the same evening, we will have a chance to attend the Holy Mass at St. James church. Our first overnight in Medjugorje.

 On our first morning in Medjugorje, our guide will take us for an orientation walk to the church St. James and sharing with you a story of Medjugorje. Your program in Medjugorje consists of Franciscans' talks, daily Holy Mass, visit and climb to the hill of Podbrdo, the Apparition Hill, site of the apparition of Our Lady Queen of Peace. On your list of things to do in Medjugorje is a visit to the village Bijakovici. All six visionaries come from here. You will pray the Way of The Cross, on the Cross Mountain. Our Medjugorje guide will take us to the Blue Cross on the slope of the Apparition Hill, Cenacolo community, walk through the fields, and those who are interested may visit Mother's Village on the outskirts of Bijakovici. You will attend an evening program that consists of the prayer of all the three Mysteries of the Holy Rosary of the evening International Holy Mass. Afterward, you may participate in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament or the Veneration of the Cross on Fridays.

In Our Lady's messages, it was repeated many times how important it is to come to mass where "we meet Jesus alive." Messages of Prayer of the Rosary, Holy Mass, and Confession are the center of the evening program at St. James Church. We could say a program carved by Mary. Even today, according to the words of three visionaries, apparition takes place every day to Vicka, Ivan, and Marija. Three of them, Mirjana, Jakov, and Ivanka do not have daily apparitions but once a year. We will have our group a program organized by our guide, but also there will be a time for personal devotions, confessions, time for lunch, shopping, and so on...

One of the days during our stay we will take an excursion!

Excursion to Siroki Brijeg Franciscan convent & church, then on to Tihaljina, the parish where Fr. Jozo Zovko was a pastor after coming back from the prison. Here we will have a Holy Mass and then on the way back to Medjugorje lunch break and visit "wonder of nature" waterfalls Kravica. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the history of the local people of Herzegovina, their way of life, culture to see some local tourist attractions, taste some excellent wines and local dishes.

Today we leave Medjugorje and Crossmountian behind us. Early morning breakfast, and transfer to the Split International airport, flight back home.
