Never took the trip. I entered the raffle and never received any correspondence on if the trip was cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled.

I enjoyed my experience with Tastemakers Africa. This was my first time visiting Africa and I was not disappointed. Elijah (I believe this is his name) assisted us tremendously as we opted to stay at another hotel about 10 minutes from the host hotel. I learned that the vast majority of events in Africa will start late (very late) however this wasn’t an issue as I learned this is the culture. I would use Tastemakers Africa again.

It was great to have insiders access to festivities in Ghana during the Year of Return. The staff were all very kind and definitely did their best to look after us. I enjoyed the mix of cultural activities - drumming/batik making, eating, partying, touring. My only recommendation would be to watch scaling too quickly -- there were too many people on the trip which led to some logistical issues and probably made it harder overall to tailor the experience to a smaller group (travelers who want a party itinerary vs. a more cultural itinerary etc.) which trying to please all led to a packed/exhausting, though often fun, itinerary. Overall, great job.

Truly an unforgettable experience for my first time in the motherland. A perfect mix of culture and turn up. The team was so responsive and accommodating. Everyone was so helpful and attentive the entire trip. I especially loved the drumming lessons and the NYE dinner/meditation on the beach and being prayed over by Ga priests. ??

This trip was AMAZING and LIFE CHANGING! Cherae and her Team did everything to make sure we were taken care of and had a wonderful time. There were a few hiccups as this was a large group and we were visiting at a time when Accra was extremely busy given the regular crowds of the holiday season plus all of us Year of the Return travelers, however, Tastemakers dealt with every issue with poise and intelligence making sure that our experiences were still enjoyable and positively memorable. I will definitely travel with Tastemakers again and will encourage others to do the same.
