Wherever Grappling Getaways goes, a party is sure to follow! Join us for an epic Memorial Day weekend in beautiful Upstate, NY. Last Memorial Day was Americana-themed, this year we are going back to the 80s in an 80s-themed weekend of activities and events. We will be stationed lakeside in a luxurious cabin adjacent to a myriad of activities. You will spend 3 nights, 4 days with some amazing women from around the world training jiujitsu, boating, swimming, hiking and exploring local attractions. Picture yourself in an Adirondack chair fireside, roasting marshmallows, singing, dancing and laughing. You will leave with your soul aglow. Register today!

We will stay in a luxurious Cabin with enough space for a small army of women. While we brag that our getaways are the best sleepover that you will have ever attended, there is always enough space/room for you to hide away for some peace and quiet rather it be to read a book, sun bathe, soak in a claw-foot tub, or simply curl up next to an indoor fire, you will have the option to engage in as much or as little of our planned events as you like.

Considering that we try to maximize space to allow for as many women as possible to participate, campers should PLAN to share a room, and in some instances a bed with another camper. If there is a camper that you would like to room with, please share this is special requests during the registration process.

in the event that you require your own room, or an individual bed, you may reserve one in the checkout process as well, for an additional fee.

At this time, when you secure your space with a deposit, the DEPOSITS are NON-REFUNDABLE. We strongly encourage you to fully commit before registering.

We do understand that things come up, and we try to work with our campers for the best outcome for everyone in these instances.

REFUNDS: (Outside of the DEPOSIT)

After January 1st - 75% of payment will be refunded

After February 1st - 50% of payment will be refunded

After March 1st - 25% of payment will be refunded

After April 1st - no refund will be offered

Local Exploration/Hiking & 80s Party
Campers will start the day with training and breakfast. We will depart for a day of local exploration. Itinerary items will be added as they are finalized. Hiking and shopping are always on our agenda. After the evening training session we will enjoy a dinner followed by an 80's themed party and Game Night.

Campers will participate in their last training, which will be a Q&A with instructors and an open mat to follow. Departure will be no later than 10 A.M.

This trip exceeded my expectations! Everyone was wonderful and made sure most everything was taken care of. It was an amazing group of like minded people. The training was great and I learned a lot and all the excursions were fun.

This was by far my favorite Grappling Getaways to date! I always get so much out of the instruction and love making new friends, seeing old friends and traveling to new places! Great accommodations and optional planned activities!

I had an absolute blast learning top tier technique from some of the greatest female jiu jitsu athletes in one of the coolest houses! The organizers brought their energy and enthusiasm to ensure that everyone had a great time and it was very apparent that they put a lot of effort into making the whole weekend a success. If you’re thinking about doing one of these camps come ready to rap about your name or this talented crew will help you on the fly. If you love jiu jitsu and you have a good attitude, you’re sure to love Grappling Getaways! 🫶

This weekend was everything I needed and a little bit more! I was really looking forward to training BJJ all weekend as I can't get as many in when I am home. I was so excited that the weekend was exactly that and so much more. The laughs, the learning, the creativity, the energy, and the uniqueness of all the people there made this whole weekend unforgettable, I can not wait to attend another. April and Katie are not only our experts in BJJ but they are also extremely thoughtful, creative, and such beautiful humans overall. Every night we had something to do (or not) that engaged everyone, brought folks together and allowed everyone to show their own individuality. Yoga was such a beautiful added thing for us to do! I am super grateful for this experience and all the people I met - I returned home super inspired and motivated!

This was my first getaway and it won’t be my last. This trip, these people and this experience was something my soul needed. I made lifelong friends, learned some killer techniques while vacationing in paradise. I got solid life advice for things I’m struggling w in my own business. Seeing such strong, powerful women be so down to earth and welcoming and loving just makes feel so grateful I made the trip….. next trip will be Mexico. See you soon Coaches!!!!

Highly recommend!! I've attended 3 amazing Grappling Getaway camps so far (and plan on attending many more) and each time is unique and awesome! April and Katie are exceptional women who truly love what they do! I appreciate so much the time and effort they take to connect with female struggles both on and off the mats, makes these camps unmatchable. Their attention to every detail, coupled with their incredible ability to just go with the flow, makes being in their presence an authentic jiu jitsu experience. They create such a welcoming, fun, and empowering experience, where friendships are seeded and your jiu jitsu grows! If you're wanting to feel empowered by strong women with great attitudes and open minds, you should DEFINITELY get to a Grappling Getaway ASAP!

April, and the other instructors with Grappling Getaways are THE BEST. Top notch human beings who are amazing at jiu jitsu and amazing at teaching. I’ve been to 3 Grappling Getaways events, and each has been so much fun, so inviting, encouraging, and appropriately challenging for what was advertised. I’ve met so many incredible female leaders and role models through Grappling Getaways. HIGHLY recommended :)
