Rachel Rajput founded Left Coast Power Yoga in 2013 to bring a challenging, heated Power Yoga shala to the Oakland community. As a yoga instructor, she draws from her dance, theater, and improvisation background. She weaves bits of Yogic philosophy into every class and hopes that students come out of her classes ready to take on the world like true Warriors! She received her 200 Hr Certification from Laughing Lotus SF (with Keith Borden and Jasmine Tarkeshi, and her 300 Hr from Yoga Tree (with Jason Crandall, Janet Stone, Jane Austin, and Annie Carpenter.) Rachel believes that the power of your practice can make any of life’s problems, no matter how big or small, infinitely more manageable. She loves leading retreats both locally in Northern California.... and abroad!

I can’t say enough good things about this retreat. My bff and I booked this on a whim never having gone to left coast yoga. Rachel and Mario are amazing people and instructors. Mar de jade is amazing. You can tell Rachel has built a relationship with the people and resort over the years and it shows. Everything was seamless and intimate. The yoga was just the right level for a relaxing retreat. I enjoyed the variation, one more vigorous class in the morning and more restorative later in the day. The practice rooms were dreamy and right on the ocean. The vibe was very relaxed, come do the yoga If you want, or sit by the pool with a drink if you don’t. I knew nothing about mar de jade going into this, but it’s a very special place with amazing and inspiring people running it. I’m grateful for Rachel introducing us to this place. The staff really cared about everyone’s experience. The food was spectacular - I ate more mangoes in one week than in my entire life. The rooms are comfortable and I slept better than I have in months. Go on this retreat. You will not regret it.

Absolutely fabulous! Rachel was such a knowledgeable, welcoming & generous host with both her yoga experience & energy. What a great idea to escape the daily hustle & bustle of life, soak up yoga in the sun, lay poolside, enjoy great conversation with good people, & make new friends all at the same time. I love any space where "all are welcome" & this was an unexpected treat. Even though I came prepared with my own yoga mat, towel, & other recommendations on the list, Rachel also provided THe best yoga bolsters I've ever met, mats, towels, etc. Great company, networking & something I would seek out again! Thank you Rachel & new friends..

This was a magical and healing experience, place, and community. Mar de Jade is one of a kind and Rachel has everything taken care of and planned so participants can do as much or as little as they want. First time I can remember not needing a vacation from a vacation when I returned back to "real life" because I was so deeply nurtured and grounded from the retreat. I am already planning to come back as soon as I can.

"The cure for anything is salt water ... sweat, tears or the sea" - Karen Blixen. This retreat had a little of all of these and was the perfect way to emerge from what felt like a long winter. Thank you Rachel & Amelia for leading this incredible womxn's retreat to Mar de Jade. This was my fourth time at this beautiful retreat center, and I know I will be going back again soon.
