A Retreat for the Menopause Cancer Treatment Brings

The Retreat

This isn't a general menopause retreat. It's built specifically for women whose menopause didn't arrive gradually, in its own time - but was brought on suddenly by cancer treatment. Your experience is different, and it deserves support that understands that difference: the abruptness, the layering of cancer recovery on top of hormonal upheaval, the particular loneliness of a menopause nobody around you expects you to be having yet, and a body that can feel unfamiliar - in how it looks, how it responds, and how close you feel able to let anyone else get to it. Over a few days together, you'll have space to breathe, to rest properly, and to be around other women who understand this exact experience without you needing to explain or justify any of it first.

Arrive & Settle

Arrival, welcome and orientation. No pressure to be "on" — just space to land, unpack, and meet the group gently over the first evening meal.

A gentle craft activity to look at life so far.

Mindfulness — grounding practices for a body and mind that have been through a great deal, and need gentleness rather than more to push through. Techniques to help ease symptoms — practical, gentle approaches for hot flushes, joint pain, fatigue, brain fog and sleeplessness, whether these come from treatment-induced menopause, ongoing endocrine therapy, or both — designed to sit alongside your medical care, never replace it. A safe space to share — structured and unstructured time with other women navigating this same particular version of menopause. Space to talk about libido, intimacy and feeling different in your body — often the hardest changes to raise anywhere else, discussed here without judgement and entirely at your own pace. Proper rest and relaxation — real rest, not just the absence of activity; the kind of deep, unhurried recovery that's hard to find at home. All meals included, thoughtfully prepared. A qualified Menopause Coach with you throughout, not just leading sessions.
