Rather than simply visiting the major sights, guests explore Mexico City through experiences that reveal its many layers—from the historic centre and ancient Teotihuacan to local markets, traditional flavours, and neighbourhoods where everyday life continues to unfold. Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a cherished Mexican celebration when families welcome the spirits of departed loved ones for an annual reunion. Through colourful ofrendas, marigolds, favourite foods, music, candles, and shared stories, families honour those who have passed.

During our October journey, we’ll experience two events celebrating this meaningful tradition, which takes place from October 17 through November 2.

DAY 2 | October 21 - Teotihuacán: City of the Gods

DAY 3 | October 22 - Art, Archaeology & the Historic Centre

Discover Mexico's Cultural Legacy

Join your guide on a captivating journey through Mexico City’s Historic Centre, where ancient civilizations and colonial grandeur meet. Explore the magnificent Zócalo, step inside the awe-inspiring Metropolitan Cathedral, and uncover the fascinating world of the Aztecs at the Templo Mayor Museum, where the remarkable ruins of their great capital lie hidden in the heart of the modern metropolis.

DAY 4 | October 23 - Coyoacán, Frida Kahlo Museum & Xochimilco

The Colours & Traditions of Día de Muertos

Discover the cobblestone streets and distinctive character of Coyoacán, and visit the Frida Kahlo Museum in the famous Blue House. Continue to Xochimilco, where colourful trajineras travel through waterways that preserve the legacy of the ancient Aztec agricultural system.

In the evening, experience Día de Muertos: El Camino Iluminado, an illuminated celebration bringing the symbolism, stories and spirit of this beloved Mexican tradition to life.

DAY 5 | October 23 - Market Flavours & Departure
