About this trip

Start the excursion in the city or Quito airport. It will depend on where you have chosen your staying. The Middle  of the World or Equator Line is the most visited tourist attraction in  the country. As result as privileged geographical location, has become a  tourist magnet, where visitors can learn more about ancestral knowledge,  nature and science. Experience physics exercises, learn about the coriolis effect or place a raw egg on the nail´s head. Let yourself be surprised about the reduction process of human heads (Tzantza ritual). Visit the hummingbird viewpoint where you can observe and photograph playful hummingbirds of various species such us the Andean Emerald, Purple Wood Star among others. 


Discovering the Pululahua Crater

Pululahua is one of the few inhabited craters in the world. From a viewpoint you can see the crater and a path that leads to it. Pululahua is a geobotanical reserve where several species of plants and animals that inhabit this sector are protected. Here, you can admire this volcanic complex, take pictures, walk and above all learn about the history of this place.



Intiñan (Sun trail)

Intiñan is a museum that represents the path of the sun. A place where the history and culture of Ecuador converge. The informative site Guides, will give you an interpretation of astronomy, astrology and the various ancient cultures that inhabited the Ecuadorian territory in the different periods of formation.

Middle of the World City

The most outstanding thing about this place is the obelisk that emerges from the ground to a height of 21 meters. A line drawn in the episode will also give you the chance to set foot in the southern and northern hemispheres. Here, you can take photos and go up to the viewpoint of the top of the tower and admire the entire valley of Lulubamba (ancient indigenous settlement)

Hummingbird viewpoint

Hummingbird viewpoint, this fascinating place receives several species of hummingbirds. It is located at an approximate height of 5, 906 feet above sea level. The outlook is also a restaurant that is by the road that goes to Mindo Cloud Forest. Here, you can have a delicious lunch and enjoy the beautiful view of the forest and see how various hummingbirds such as the Andean Emerald, Sparkling Violeter, Purple Throared Wood Star frequently visit this site. You can take photos, make slow-motion videos and above all relax in the upper part of the evergreen forest.
