About this trip

Do you have ideas and dreams that are waiting to be materialized and need that extra direction, clarity, and support to make them happen?  Then this retreat is for you. Middle-aged and beyond, does not mean decline and deterioration, but rather an opportunity for rebirth and a chance to reinvent ourselves. Transitioning into the next phase of your life can feel scary and intimidating, but seeking meaning and renewal during this period in your life, can be invigorating and an opportunity for a new version of you. Perhaps those hot flashes are power surges. Midlife is a powerful time to connect to your power, passion, path, and purpose and psychedelic medicine can tap into your innate inner wisdom.

Discount $200.00 off until April 1st, 2023

Payments can be broken up into 3 payments over next two months

Psychedelic-assisted therapy can be a gateway to helping you find meaning and direction in the autumn stage of your life.  Women often experience depression, loss of motivation, and a loss of direction, entering middle age years, but we are here to support you in seeing this age as ripe with richness and regeneration.  It is not uncommon to feel disconnected from ourselves and our loved ones, as we transition to different phases in our lives and our roles have changed. Women during middle life struggle with the challenges of managing both older parents as well as children, loss of our sense of purpose, and hormonal changes.  Middle life does not need to be a crisis but rather a reinvention.

Heather and Monica are experienced licensed therapists and bring years of wisdom and training to their retreats, as well as compassion, acceptance, and support to this sacred healing circle. Come join us with like-minded women seeking meaning, camaraderie, and the transformational power of psychedelics. Surround yourself in the beautiful mountains of Grand Lake, CO, and immerse yourself in nature. Take time to learn about yourself, assisted by psychedelic medicine and guided by your personal psychotherapist.  The trip also includes a visit to the local Sulphur Hot Springs. Soak and relax in the soothing mineral pools, while taking in the beautiful Colorado sunset.  Enjoy the healing water infused with sulfate, magnesium, potassium, lithium, and more.

Why Psychedelics?

The benefits of psychedelics, and in particular Ketamine Assisted Therapy, include:

  1. Increasing neuroplasticity
  2. Increased openness and increased ability to create change
  3. Decrease in depressive symptoms and anxiety
  4. Potential to help with PTSD
  5. Help with aging and flexible thinking

We offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy in partnership with medical providers.  Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms.

What is Ketamine?

What is Ketamine?

Ketamine is a legal, safe, and effective medicine used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hrs. after treatment. It works by blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors as well as by stimulating AMPA receptors, which are thought to help form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.

How does Ketamine Assisted Therapy Work?

Your guides Heather and Monica will make sure you are clinically appropriate for Ketamine Assisted Therapy with an initial interview and assessment. If you are a candidate for Ketamine Assisted Therapy, we will connect you with the medical team and you will do an initial medical screening online to determine your eligibility. Once you are approved,  you will be sent your ketamine lozenges for 4-6 doses of ketamine. We will use one to two doses on the retreat, and you will have a follow-up treatment with the medical provider. We will be with you every step of the way, and with you during your ketamine treatment. We offer pre and post-Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. Heather and Monica are highly trained psychedelic-assisted therapists, supporting you through this journey.  There will be additional assistants and trained guides working with our team.

We are staying at a beautiful, one-of-a-kind home that sits on a ridge with unparalleled views of Grand Lake, a private hot tub, and an open, beautiful space. Catch both the amazing sunrises and sunsets from the comfort of the living room, with views to the West of Rocky Mountain National Park and Colorado River as well as to the East of  Shadow Mountain Lake. The huge wrap-around deck lets you enjoy the fresh mountain air and the same stunning views outside while listening to the Colorado River or stargazing. Soak in the hot sulphur hot springs under the beautiful colorado sunset skies.  Book a deep tissue or Swedish massage through their website at the Hot Sulphur Springs.

Monica was a tour guide in South America for over a year, leading tours in Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. Monica had the honor of leading guests to sacred sites such as the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu, the Amazon rainforest, and famous Lake Titicaca, and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. She experienced the beautiful traditions of the indigenous people of Peru, witnessed their ceremonies, and experienced the time-honored traditions of the native indigenous tribes. Monica has a particular love of Peru and the Quechua people and culture. She is now bringing her background as a tour guide and experience witnessing native traditions and rituals to her retreats. Monica’s passion for travel and love of native traditions, as well as her therapy background, helping people gain insight and breakthroughs in their lives, have come together in her retreats, with the assistance of psychedelics.

Through Monica’s own journey into middle age, she has found inspiration, a wealth of knowledge and inner wisdom, and contentment. She has found new meaning as her children have transitioned into adulthood and a chance to fully enjoy this time of renaissance in her life.
