Welcome to Sweden! After you arrive around midday, we’ll drive 1.5 hours southeast to Torrö, an island in the Tjust archipelago. Along the way, we’ll stop for a welcome lunch. Torrö will be our base for the first few days, fully immersing ourselves in nature. We’ll camp in tents and cook all our meals over an open fire, featuring fresh fish from the waters and game meat from the forests.
Once we reach the island, we’ll snack on Swedish fika and explore our surroundings, then wrap up the day with a welcome dinner and drinks.
We’ll start the day with breakfast, then cover some kayaking basics before heading out to explore the hundreds of nearby islands. We’ll take breaks as we go, pausing for snacks and lunch on the archipelago. Back on land, we’ll switch gears and set up our gravel bikes for a test ride around the island.
Throughout the day, our nature guide will share stories and insights about the local wildlife and native plants. After a fire-cooked dinner, the evening is yours to enjoy: explore the island, take a quick dip in the sea or relax in a pop-up sauna.
After breakfast, we’ll dive right into Midsommar celebrations in Torrö, picking flowers and preparing classic Swedish dishes like smoked fish, aquavit and strawberry cake—all while Erik, a Klättermusen guide and Swedish local, shares the holiday’s rich history.
Post-lunch, we’ll join the locals for games, live music and traditional dancing around the maypole. In the evening, we’ll fire up the grill for dinner and cheers to the summer solstice.
We’ll kick off the morning paddling between the archipelago’s outermost islands, keeping an eye out for seals and sea eagles. After a snack break, we’ll kayak back to the island for a delicious lunch and scenic hike around the area.
For dinner, we’ll gather for a home-cooked meal over an open fire. Feel free to join in on the cooking or just unwind. If you’re up for it, try your luck fishing from the jetty—you might even reel in a sea bass.
On our last morning living in the wild, we’ll hop on our bikes and set off from Torrö after breakfast. We’ll cycle gravel roads that wind through forests and farmland, stopping for lunch in the heart of a meadow. By late afternoon, we’ll roll into Borkhult Lapphem, where our luggage, dinner and a good night’s rest await.
After fueling up with a hearty breakfast, we’ll jump back on our bikes and follow the gravel roads to Norrköping. The route winds through vast landscapes, with plenty of spots to pause for a picnic lunch or a refreshing swim in one of the many lakes along the way. We’ll end our day at The Lamp Hotel and toast to our adventure with a special farewell dinner.
We’ll enjoy one last meal at the hotel before saying our goodbyes. If you’re interested in topping off the trip with a dose of art and culture, we’ll arrange a guided walk through Norrköping’s unique industrial landscape, plus a visit to the Ståhl Collection—an extraordinary private showcase of contemporary art. Afterward, we’ll drive you back to the airport.
