NOTE: THIS WAS ORIGINALLY A BUS TOUR, FOR 2025, WE'VE CHANGED IT TO A CAR CARAVAN FORMAT.

From the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway to the iconic Henry Ford Museum, Indiana and Michigan are truly the breadbasket of the American automobile, and each state is flush with remarkable museums. The problem? Seeing them all in one swoop! We've taken care of that!

Starting in Indy, you'll travel in a car caravan of no more than 15 cars with a lead car guiding the way. We'll show you all the best spots and handle all the hotels, attractions, and more!

Indy to Ft. Wayne, IN
Today is all about the most iconic race track in the United States, maybe the world: Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Enjoy their "kiss the bricks" guided tour before checking out some other Indy motorsports sites. Then we head north to Ft. Wayne with an ice cream stop in Cammack, IN. On the way, you'll get one more museum, but it's a secret we're keeping to ourselves for now!

Day 3 starts with a visit to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, one of the most beautiful car museums in the world. See art deco cars in an art deco place! From there, we'll bop across the street for a quick visit to the National Truck & Auto Museum before heading on up to Motor City!

Time for the crown jewel of transportation museums! The Henry Ford. From iconic cars like JFK's limo to trains to Rosa Parks bus to airplanes and even a historic village, there's so much to see! We blocked out a whole day for this truly unbelievable place. After the museum, enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers at Ford's Garage.

The amazing museums don't stop on day 5 as we travel to the Gilmore Car Museum. With over 400 cars on 80+ acres, many consider the Gilmore to be the best car-focused museum in the US. We'll spend plenty of time exploring it before heading down to South Bend, IN for the night.

Austin does a wonderful job of guiding the group through the many exciting attractions on his tours. The hotels are first rate and the included meals are in keeping with the theme of the tour. We have been on two of his tours and are planning to take more in the future.

This was our 4th Two Lane America trip with Austin. Austin is able to ensure you see all the best sights on each trip. Every detail is well planned out. Traveling in a car caravan; safety is also important, and Austin has that at the top of his mind, this includes a meeting each morning to inform every one of the day's plans and communication ability with everyone in each car. All the groups we have traveled with have been like family within a couple days of the trip starting. If you are looking for a fun, amazing road trip look no further than Two Lane America.
