In the Kenyan village, seeing a doctor or dentist is a rare occurrence and a great blessing. Mission Kenya 2020 ensures that each a child/Adult has access to medical care through an Annual Care Clinic. The parents are thrilled for their children to have this opportunity. A day at the clinic means that both children and Adults will travel by bus or many who have walked for hours or even days to reach the clinic where medical staff, U.S. team volunteers, and Luo translators await their arrival.
From the time their name is called, caring volunteers whose number 1 mission is serving and sharing the love with them greet them. It’s a day where many of their needs will be addressed and their voices heard – whether it be medical needs, prayer needs, expressions of gratitude for sponsorship, or their joy upon receiving a bag full of gifts . Throughout these camps we aim to see as many patients as possible, and provide free medical and dental attention, treatment and advice. (We will also be providing supply of multivitamins, Tylenol,Panadol (acetaminophen) ,ibuprofen ,antacids, and basic hygiene items}
We welcome the following medical professionals: MD, DO, PA, NP, PharmD, RPh, RN, LPN, Paramedic, EMT, CNA, OT, and PT, as well as non-medical team members.
As a licensed professional, you will participate in 3 full workdays of medical care. Professionals participating in the mobile clinic are asked to help purchase the medication needed for the mobile clinic and transport it to the country where you will be serving.
