Chikho hotel

Arrive at Lilongwe's Kamuzu Airport and transfer to chikho hotel in Mponela.

Mua Mission

Head south, on a road paralleled by the towering peaks of the Dedza Escarpment on one side and the lake on the other, through traditional farmland and villages, for two nights at Mua Mission and Kungoni Centre. 


Here they preserve Malawian Art, African traditional religion, and other related cultural knowledge. It is Malawi’s foremost center for woodcarving. 


Accommodation at Mua Mission on Full Board basis.

Mua Mission

You will have a museum tour on this day as well as the art gallery to appreciate Malawi's authentic culture and the wooden carvings

Mvuu Camp

Depart Mua Mission soon after breakfast and travel on to Liwonde National Park, arriving in for late lunch.

After lunch, you can take a dip in the swimming pool.

Late afternoon, return to the reception area for tea/coffee before heading out for the afternoon game drive. The first part of the drive will be during the daylight, you will then stop for sundowners by the riverbank, before going into the night safari to look for some nocturnal animals.

Travel Time: 4.5 hours

Day 7- 9th May, 2024

Mvuu Camp

You will wake up, with the beautiful bird sounds, and go on an early morning walking safari in the park. After 2 hours, return to the camp for breakfast.

After breakfast, you will get on a wooden boat and enjoy some of the best ways of game viewing on the Shire River inside Liwonde National Park. Return to the camp after 2 hours and spend the day at leisure.

Late Evening, you will go for another evening game drive.

Mvuu Camp

Transfer to your next lodge at Africa House Malawi.

Africa House Malawi is a stylish contemporary lodge from a unique blend of African designs, furniture, fabrics and our personal collectables. Each room is named after an African country, style or culture and decorated in that particular style.
