Join hundreds of people from around the country heading to Milwaukee to help win a critical 2020 battleground state on Nov 3rd!
A volunteer-led trip, we're recruiting an army of people from around the country who are willing to give up a couple vacation days to fight their hearts out in Milwaukee, no matter the Democratic nominee. Our goal is to mobilize 1,000 volunteers and knock on 200,000 doors. We're pooling resources and organizing all trip logistics so that all you need to worry about is showing up, getting out the vote, and enjoying every cheese and brew activity Milwaukee has to offer.
Why Milwaukee?
Analysts predict the 2020 election will be decided by Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, where Hillary only lost by a combined 70,000 votes. Increasing voter turnout a fraction of a percent in a few key cities like Milwaukee and Detroit could very well decide the election.
Wisconsin is the most vulnerable midwestern battleground state in 2020 and the outcome is likely to hinge on voter turnout in Milwaukee, which dropped by 10 percentage points in 2016. In other words, turnout in Milwaukee has been highly variable--precisely the type of environment where boots on the ground matter most.
Knock on 200,000 doors, deliver 15,000 votes
1,000 volunteers working over four days to engage 200,000 voters could quite literally change the election. The best estimate is that an interaction with a volunteer canvasser increases likelihood of voting by 7-9 percentage points, a finding that has proven robust across seminal studies employing rigorous experimental methods.
Face-to-face canvassing actually works
It may not be glamorous, but getting out there and having personal, authentic interactions with people matters. Numerous studies point to the efficacy of volunteer-based door to door canvassing for mobilizing voter turnout before elections as compared to other outreach modalities (mailers, text, calls).
No experience necessary – we’ll make sure you have what you need to canvass effectively
We’ll coordinate with local campaign offices and partner organizations to deliver on-site trainings to educate you on local political issues, canvassing technology tools, and the newest social psychology tactics needed to maximize your canvassing impact. Just show up with a good pair of shoes!
We’ll take care of all planning and logistics
So many people we talk to want to invest more time and effort this time around to change the course of our country. To make it easy, we're taking care of all logistics and planning for you. After a hard day's work, we’ll have events planned in the evening to unwind, build community, and take advantage of everything Milwaukee has to offer.

- Dinners and trainingsOn Friday and Sunday back at the hotel we will host dinners and trainings that will help maximize our canvassing impact
- In-city bus transitWe'll have a fleet of busses to ensure that you can get to events, campaign offices, and canvassing meetups
- Community eventsWe'll gather all trip volunteers at iconic Milwaukee venues on Saturday and Monday night to enjoy the city and build an even stronger community we can take back to Boston
- Packed lunchesEach morning you can grab a packed lunch to fuel you throughout the day as you canvass. We’ll also provide info on nearby grocery shops and cafes for your convenience.

- Airfare to/from MilwaukeAttendees will need to cover their own airfare.
