About

Join the crew of La Paz Divers for a mobula ray snorkeling adventure in the Sea of Cortez, once dubbed “the World’s aquarium” by ocean enthusiast Jacques Cousteau.

Depending on the season, other marine animals that can be encountered here include California sea lions, dolphins, manta rays, moray eels, sea turtles, whale sharks, and even orcas and whales on occasion.

Departure is from La Ventana, roughly 45 minutes from La Paz city center. Transportation to and from La Paz can be arranged for an additional cost.

The minimum number of participants required is four. For solo guests and couples, please contact us, so we can check if there is an existing mobula rays trip to add you to.

Last updated: June 2025

Welcome to La Paz Divers. By booking and participating in our tours, courses, and services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These policies are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and fair experience for all of our guests. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

1. General Information

  • Company Name: La Paz Divers

  • Location: La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico

  • Contact: lapazdivers@gmail.com | +52 (612) 197 5824

All bookings, services, and activities provided by La Paz Divers are subject to these Terms and Conditions. By making a reservation, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to them.

2. Booking & Payment

  • Reservation Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a partial deposit or full payment either made on our online booking system, manually by email contact, or in-person in our office. Your enquiry does not become a confirmed reservation until a payment has been received in cleared funds.

  • Payment Methods: We accept several money apps, bank transfers, and credit cards. Cash deposits can be made in-person in our office. Some payment methods have additional fees while others do not. Final payment is required before the start of the activity. For guests booking multiple day tours, full payment for all tours scheduled is required before the first tour starts.

  • Dive and Stay Packages: Our accommodation used for our dive and stay packages are a highly-trusted third-party resource with which we have a professional working relationship.  Any issues that arise with the accommodation must be addressed to the owner of the property, not La Paz Divers. Full balance payment for accommodation and set tour itineraries must be settled on arrival to the accommodation using the agreed payment method.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Client Cancellations: Our cancellation policy is in place to protect our business. While no one can foresee all events that may cause them to have to cancel, we urge our clients to be as certain as possible about their booking BEFORE making a reservation including ensuring that you have all your travel and accommodation set. We also recommend that you obtain a travel insurance policy that will cover you for monies lost for your cancelled trip. Such policies may include cover for lost flights, hotels, and activities if your reason for the cancellation is accepted by your provider.

  • 20% of the total will be retained for ALL client cancellations regardless of the time prior. So for clients who have paid a booking deposit of 20% to confirm their tour, the entire deposit will be retained.

  • 30+ days prior: 50% of payment will be retained. This will only apply to clients who have paid in full.

  • Less than 30 days: All payments are non-refundable

  • No-Shows and late arrivals: Guests who do not arrive on time for their scheduled activity are not eligible for refunds.

  • Operator Cancellations: If weather, sea conditions, or unforeseen circumstances force us to cancel an activity, you will be offered the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund. For guests who book multiple days of activities, in the event that some, but not all of your tour days are cancelled by us due to weather conditions stopping us from going out, you will only be refunded for the days that we can not provide your tour. There are no refunds for the days that are not cancelled by us, even if you elect not to join on those days for any reason.
