Early in the morning. You will be transferred to Oybek

border where you meet your Tajik guide and drivers. On the

way, you will have a lunch in Khujand and drive towards

Artuch village where you rest of the time you can walk

around the village and explore Tajik country life.

The donkeys arrive in the morning to carry the luggage. After

having a breakfast and short instruction by the mountain

guide, we start 4 hours trekking. Overnight at shore of

Bibijanat lake in the 2 persons tent. 2800.

In the morning, we start ascend to Alaudin pass (3860 m,

10 km, ~6 hrs, +960 m). The beautiful panorama of the

surrounding peaks and lakes will be seen from the top of

pass. Descend to a campsite by the first Alaudin lake.

After breakfast in the Alaudin lake, we slowly start ascend to

the Mutnoe lake (3520m) which takes about 4 hours. On the

way, we enjoy the view to the peaks and view from the top.

Today you will hike to the camp to meet our driver who will

transfer us to Iskanderkul lake. On the way we will have a

lunch in Sarvoda. Afternoon you will be enjoying

Iskanderkul lake view and have a short hike to the Iskander

waterfall and Snake lake. Afterwards, we continue our

journey to Saratog village (12km) where we will overnight at

guesthouse.

Early in the morning, you will be picked up by your driver and

drive to the border. At lunch you will reach Penjikent where

you will have a famouse local plov in the local Plov house.

Dating from the 5th century, Penjikent was a thriving regional

hub on the Great Silk Road. After having lunch we will head to

Samarqand and visit the UNESCO World Heritage site –

Sarazm on the way to the border. In Uzbekistan side you will

After the breakfast, starting city tour from Gur Emir

Mausoleum (tomb of Tamerlane), Registan Square (which

means "desert" in Persian) and three madrassahs (religious

study centers) surrounding the square: Ulughbek Madrassah,

Sher-Dor Madrassah, and Tillya-Kari Madrassah – covered

with gold. Visit to Shakhi Zinda Necropolis, Bibi Khanym

Mosque – built by Amir Timur (Tamerlane) in XV century and

Ulugbek Observatory with original part of main instrument.

Breakfast at the hotel. Continue sightseeing in Samarkand:

Excavation of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiab, and

Tombstone of Saint Daniyar. The prophet Daniyar (Daniel) is

revered by three world religions: Christianity, Judaism and

Islam, and mausoleum is still a pilgrimage place for the

followers of all three Abrahamic religions. Drive to Konigil

village to visit Samarkand Paper Mill "Meros", where you can

see the process of making famous Samarkand paper by ancient

technology.

Transfer to the train station for evening train to Tashkent OR

drive by car. Accommodation: 3* Hotel.
