Colombia is the second most bio-diverse country in the world, come explore it from the lens of locals, and alongside many of your MBA friends. During this trip you will have the opportunity to see many of the things that make Colombia a top travel destination. #theTrip includes outdoor, party, and cultural activities in Medellin, Cartagena, and Bogota. 

As a team of local Colombians and MBA students, Modo Travel has curated and organized this trip so you can look back and remember it as the best trip of your Georgetown experience. We think of the small details that make a big difference, so you don’t have to... we carefully handpick every aspect of #theTrip for a seamless experience.  

Medellin (Mar 9 - 11)

Recognized by National Geographic as one of the top 21 places to see. Medellin has overtaken both Bogota and Cartagena in the hot new Colombian destinations ranking. Explore the hillside areas, the buzzing food scene, and dance the day away enjoying the panoramic views on a party boat through the Guatape Lagoon.

Cartagena (Mar 11 - 14)

Cartagena is what locals describe as a cultural paradise... sun-washed colonial splendor meets sultry Caribbean vibes. Explore the contained colonial architecture in one of UNESCO’s World Heritage sites and home to the happiest people on earth. Brilliant Caribbean beaches, a vibrant cultural scene and pure effortless indulgence. To top it off, we will be partying at Cholon Island yacht week style and then head to Islas del Rosario, an archipelagos of islands located 60 minutes away from Cartagena.

 
Bogota (Mar 14 - 16)

A destination in its own right. In Bogota you will be immersed into one of the top cosmopolitan scenes in Latin America. You will have the opportunity to explore the rich architecture in the city center, wander through La Candelaria neighborhood, go to the museum of “The Colombian of Colombian artists”, and venture to Andres Carne de Res Chia – the restaurant-club-crazy night out that by itself should put Colombia on your bucket list.

#theTrip package includes:

- Lodging in Medellin, Cartagena, and Bogota

- Flights (2): Medellin to Cartagena & Cartagena to Bogota

- Transportation from and to the airport (for selected times)

- Day trip to Guatape (in Medellin)

Cancellation Policy

In order to offer you the best rates, we make reservations far in advance of the trip. Below is the amount that is refundable based on the cancellation policy fees we have to adhere to:

- On or before January 15: full refund (100%)

- Between January 16 - January 31: 50% refund

- Between February 1 - February 14: 25% refund

- Between February 15 - February 24: 15% refund

- On or after February 25: No refund
