About this trip

You've been to the retreats.

Maybe you left with a full notebook and an empty soul. Maybe you sat in a room of hundreds of women and still felt completely alone. Maybe the faith-based programming wasn't your thing but you went anyway because it was the only option. Maybe you drove home just as tired as when you left — except now you also felt guilty for not feeling more filled up.

You deserved better than that. And you still do.

This is not that retreat.

Moms Unplugged: Breathe Again was built specifically because that retreat — the one that actually fits — didn't exist yet.

There are no keynote speakers. No worship sets. No training hours or CEUs. No workbooks, no workshops, no one telling you what you should be feeling or how far you've come. No agenda disguised as a schedule.

What there is: a small, intimate group of women who are trudging the exact same mud as you. A beautiful private ranch in the Texas Hill Country with room to breathe. Honest, open conversation with zero pressure and zero platitudes. And real, intentional rest — not squeezed in between sessions, but built into the weekend on purpose, because rest is the whole point.

You don't leave with a certificate. You leave with yourself restored.

Who is this For?

This retreat is for you if you're a foster or adoptive mom — or if you fill that role in a child's life, whatever that looks like for your family.

It's for the woman who has been doing this long enough to know that the hard parts don't really go away, but the right people beside you make them easier to carry. It's for the woman who is tired of explaining her family, her choices, and her exhaustion to people who will never quite get it.

This is a secular retreat — all beliefs welcome, no religious agenda. If you've felt like other retreats weren't quite built for you, this one is.

If you need time to rest, recover, and restore your heart, mind, and soul — not someday, but this September — this weekend was built for you.

What's waiting for you.

No TVs. No cable. Spotty satellite internet. Questionable cell service.

In other words — perfect.

Come ready to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with yourself and the women in the room. Set your out-of-office, arrange care for your crew at home, and leave the rest behind. You've earned it. 💛

Here's what's included:

All lodging for 2 nights at The Retreat Ranch in the Texas Hill Country. All meals from Friday dinner through Sunday morning. A candle making workshop where you'll blend your own custom scent, choose a sacred crystal, and take home a 50-hour soy candle that smells like this weekend felt. Guided conversation circles with women who don't need the backstory explained. And intentional rest time built into the schedule — not as an afterthought, but as the point.f

The ranch itself is something else entirely. You'll have access to hot tub and dipping pools, cold plunge ice baths, a wood burning sauna, hammock lounges, walking trails, a fire pit, an intentional meditation path with guided journal prompts, a walking labyrinth, a scavenger hunt, and farm animals — horses, chickens, goats, and dogs who have no idea what you've been carrying and will love you anyway.

What's not included.

We want you to arrive with no surprises.

Transportation to and from The Retreat Ranch is not included — you'll arrange your own travel. The ranch is BYOB friendly, so bring whatever you enjoy. Personal toiletries and medications are also on your packing list, along with anything outside of the scheduled retreat programming.

Accessibility Statement

This is verbatim from The Retreat Ranch:

At Retreat Ranch, we embrace the natural, untouched beauty of our rustic ranch setting. While we aim to provide an authentic and serene experience for all our guests, we recognize that the unique characteristics of our working ranch may present certain limitations for guests with disabilities.

Due to the nature of our retreat center, we are currently unable to accommodate service animals. Our ranch is home to free-ranging animals, and for their safety as well as that of service animals, we cannot allow any outside pets or animals on the premises.

Our facilities, including guest accommodations and communal areas, are nestled in a landscape that celebrates its rustic roots, featuring uneven grounds and stair access. Consequently, we do not have ramps or elevators, and our bathrooms are not specifically designed for accessibility.

We wish to be transparent about the challenges that individuals with certain disabilities might face at our retreat center. The entire facility is not wheelchair accessible, and individuals with mobility impairments may find it difficult to navigate the uneven terrain and stairs.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these limitations may cause. We hope that, despite these limitations, our guests can find peace and enjoyment in the natural splendor of Retreat Ranch.
