Hike through the dramatic Vulture Valley gorge in Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park
Today, we journey into the heart of Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park to explore the legendary Yoliin Am, the “Vulture Gorge.” This striking canyon, carved by centuries of wind, ice, and rugged climate, is one of the Gobi’s most dramatic natural wonders.
Step into a world where towering cliffs rise above you, and the narrow canyon floors are dotted with icy formations that have survived the harsh desert winters. We’ll hike through this iconic “ice canyon,” feeling the raw power and beauty of the Gobi, and witness firsthand the landscapes that have shaped life here for generations. Every turn reveals a new breathtaking view—a place where nature tells its story in every rock and shadow.

Ride camels and climb Mongolia’s towering “singing dunes” for a breathtaking sunset
We depart the gorge after breakfast and drive toward the legendary Khongor Sand Dunes—one of Mongolia’s largest dune fields, stretching 180 km and rising over 300 m. Historically, these “Singing Dunes” served as natural markers for ancient nomadic routes across the Gobi.
After lunch in Bayandalai village, we arrive at Khongor for a camel ride and an evening climb to the dune crest to witness a stunning desert sunset over the oasis.
