Experience Montana the way it was meant to be: untamed, story-filled, and deeply personal.

This 5-day, women-only road trip blends rugged landscapes with rich history, heartfelt connection, and cultural storytelling — all without the stress of big tours or rushed schedules. We’ll explore mining towns, Indigenous landmarks, hidden waterfalls, and wide-open spaces, while gathering each evening to unwind, reflect, and share.


LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE. All lodging, meals, cultural site entry, and small-group transportation from Missoula are included. This experience is designed for women seeking awe, belonging, and the joy of being guided through the landscapes and legacies of Montana — together.


Itinerary is subject to change based on seasonal availability, weather, and the goal of providing the best possible guest experience.

What's included

Lodging

4 nights in hotels: 2 in Helena, 2 in Butte. Clean, comfortable rooms in centrally located Marriott-brand hotels (Fairfield Inn & Fairfield by Marriott). Private or shared room options available.

Meals

All meals included: full breakfasts, picnic-style lunches, and locally sourced dinners with Montana flair. Two special group dinners round out the culinary experience.

Entry Fees

Admission to all scheduled museums, historic sites, ghost towns, state parks, and the Gates of the Mountains boat tour. No surprise fees — all major experiences are included.

Transportation

Round-trip transportation from Missoula to Helena, plus all in-trip travel across southwest Montana in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with Christine as your driver.

Guided Experiences

Includes guided visits to cultural, historical, and natural sites with narrative storytelling, optional short hikes, and space for personal reflection and connection.

Special Activities

Sapphire mining, ghost town visit, mining museums, scenic drives, and a Gates of the Mountains boat tour. Activities may vary slightly based on weather or seasonal conditions or availability.

Community Support

Led by Christine with personalized pre-trip support, custom packing tips, and group communication. Small-group setting focused on joy, connection, and shared discovery.

What's not included

Market-Priced Food

This is an all-inclusive trip with generous meal coverage, but items labeled “market price” or considered premium/high-value may not be covered and are at guest expense.

Alcohol

Expedition Sisterhood does not provide alcohol as part of trip services. Guests may purchase their own beverages at restaurants or during meals, where available.

Travel to Start Location

Transportation to Missoula for trip departure is not included. Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel to the designated pickup location by the scheduled start time.

Welcome to Helena!

Depart Missoula in the morning and head to Montana’s capital city with a scenic group drive and picnic lunch.  Walk by and learn about the Governor’s Mansion and take a guided storytelling stroll down Last Chance Gulch. End your day with dinner at Windbag Saloon and a sunset overlook (optional hike) at Mount Helena. A warm welcome to set the tone for the journey.

Great Falls: Buffalo Jumps & Western Art

Discover the deep cultural and natural roots of Great Falls, starting with First Peoples Buffalo Jump and a scenic walk. After a hearty Montana-style lunch, visit the C.M. Russell Museum and Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center. Cap the day with a peaceful stop at Giant Springs, the Great Falls of the Missouri and a picnic dinner at Tower Rock before returning to Helena.

Rivers & Gems: Helena to Butte

Step into Montana’s state history with a visit to the Capitol and the stunning St. Helena Cathedral. Cruise the Missouri River on the Gates of the Mountains boat ride, then try your luck sapphire mining at Spokane Bar (or alternative excursion).  After a scenic drive to Butte, enjoy a laid-back dinner at Pork Chop John’s and settle in for the next chapter.

Mining Town Memories

Dive into Butte’s layered past with a guided underground tour and a visit to the Mai Wah Museum. Enjoy a traditional Cornish pasty for lunch, then explore the World Museum of Mining and view the Berkeley Pit. Celebrate the day’s discoveries with a special dinner at Casagranda’s and optional evening reflection.

Ghost Towns & Homeward Trails

After breakfast, we travel to Garnet Ghost Town, one of Montana’s best-preserved mining settlements. Enjoy a flexible picnic lunch on the road, then return to Missoula by 1:30 PM. Group services conclude shortly afterward with airport drop-offs and support for your journey home.
