Travelling in a small group to Tokyo and Osaka you will see first hand how Montessori principles are successfully applied to the care of elders. We will visit elder care centres that follow Montessori principles, encouraging independence, freedom of choice and meaningful activities. Each centre is unique in how and what they offer.
Accompanied by Anne Kelly (AMI Trainer) and Takako Fukatsu (AMI trained, local guide and translator), this tour has been created specifically for people interested in Montessori elder care and Dr Montessori's legacy in Japan.
Join Montessorians from around the world as we travel together to Tokyo and Osaka, learning more about the ins and outs of what makes a successful Montessori Elder Care program.
There will be time to engage in cultural opportunities, make new friends, taste local delights and explore as you wish.
There will be time to ask questions, to reflect, to have fun or to rest, time to learn and wander, time to discuss and wonder.
All of this and more. Will you join us?
