A Month on Little Corn Island

August–October | Come to Live the Island Rhythm

A month at The Lighthouse Retreat isn’t an extended vacation. It’s a chance to step out of your usual routine and experience what it feels like to slow down and actually live on a Caribbean island.

Start Slowly
Wake to birdsong and ocean breezes. Practice yoga or meditate on our panoramic rooftop deck, then enjoy fresh Nicaraguan coffee and tropical fruit.

Work When You Need To
Settle into your projects with Wi-Fi, then close the laptop and walk to the beach. Your schedule is yours.

Follow Your Curiosity
Snorkel the reef with local captains, explore the island’s beaches and village, or simply spend the afternoon reading in your hammock.

Make Space to Rest
Book a massage, take a swim, nap, journal, or do absolutely nothing. When you have a month, there’s no pressure to fit everything into one day.

Become Part of the Island
Walk into the village for dinner. Find your favourite smoothie. Start recognizing the fishermen coming in. Say hello to familiar faces.

Getting to Little Corn Island

Remote enough to feel like paradise. Easy enough to get here without the stress.

1. Fly into Managua

Arrive at Managua International Airport (MGA). From there, you’ll connect to a domestic flight to Big Corn Island.

2. Fly to Big Corn Island

Take the domestic flight from Managua to Big Corn Island (RNI).on La Costeña Airline.

3. Cross to Little Corn Island

The regular panga departs:

Big Corn → Little Corn: 4:30 PM
Little Corn → Big Corn: 6:30 AM

The crossing takes approximately 30–45 minutes, depending on sea conditions.

4. Walk 10- 15 minutes to The Lighthouse Retreat

If you’re reading this, you’re probably craving something rare: total, uninterrupted peace.

Hey there!

We are two sisters from Toronto who fell completely in love with the raw, untamed magic of Nicaragua's Caribbean coast.

We designed The Lighthouse Retreat when the modern world has gotten entirely too loud.

We wanted to build a filter for that chaos; a place where you can leave your worries at the dock, step out of the grind, and step back into yourself. Featured in National Geographic, our proud, women-owned eco-sanctuary is an intimate, safely gated, and strictly adults-only haven perched at the highest point of car-free Little Corn Island.

Whether you are traveling solo, as a couple, or with a group of friends, this is your space to unwind.

We also offer full, exclusive buyouts of our venue for private retreats, hosting intimate groups of up to 12 guests across our 8 breezy hilltop cabanas.

From sunrise views over the sea to guided ocean adventures, nourishing meals, and restorative wellness treatments, The Lighthouse is designed as a place to reset, recharge, and fully experience island life at its purest.

We offer a small, intimate collection of 7 wooden cabañas with an on-site Restaurant.

3 Cozy Cabañas: Solo Occupancy.

4 Flexible Shared Cabañas: Queen bed for couples or Two beds for two friends.
