About this trip

A joy-filled food and yoga focused retreat in the south of France! Come join us for the weekend as we step far away from the daily grind and step back into nourishment and alignment. Unwind and unplug as you take in the view of the Rhone river from the peaceful, fully-restored, old monastery where we will be staying in the village of Vallabrègues. Indulge in twice-daily yoga practice and meditation with Julia Mitton, founder and owner of Arles Yoga. Dive-in to delicious, fall-inspired food made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and prepared by chef Lina Caschetto. Gather with other like-minded souls and take part in curated culinary experiences unique to the Provencal region like visits to local olive presses, vineyards and the Camargue rice fields. Savour local natural wines and autumnally-inspired cocktails while we cozy-up fireside to reflect on the year that has been and set intentions that will help guide us through the end of 2018. Our November retreat intends to bring together all the nurturing goodness that fall food and yoga can provide in order to awaken and expand your authentic joie de vivre as we head towards midwinter.

More Than a Feeling - Food + Yoga Retreats are a joyful and seasonal exploration into the fine indulgence of nourishment, alignment and living an authentic good life hosted by Julia Mitton and Lina Caschetto. 

What’s included

  • Accomodations
    2 nights accommodation in a peaceful, fully-restored old monastery.
  • The Food
    All dinners, lunch, and breakfasts included + a fabulous brunch on the Sunday. We cater to all dietary needs!
  • Apero
    Think negronis, autumnal spritzes, delectable manhattans. Cocktails can also be available anytime for those in the mood and in the moment, for an extra fee.
  • Wine
    From local, natural wineries. + We'll have a pimped out wine list with wines for purchase if you feel like indulging a little bit further!
  • Craft beer
    From local breweries. Obviously.
  • Yoga
    Morning and evening classes throughout the weekend with Julia! Ranging from a vigorous, pick-me up Vinyasa Class, to a delicious, get-me-ready-for-bed Yin class.
  • Excursion
    A curated culinary adventure and Provencal-inspired picnic lunch.
  • Fermentation Workshop
    Learn about the health benefits, simplicity and radical nature of fermentation! Lina will teach you the basics, and you will even start your own to take home with you at the end of the weekend.
  • Music
    Great tunes, all weekend long. We're not called 'More than a Feeling' by chance!
  • Travel
    Train and car travel to and from the retreat not included. We suggest arriving via Avignon TGV and drive from there, or to drive directly to Vallebrègues. Reach out if you need help getting here!
  • Toiletries
    Please bring your own personal hygiene and toiletry items!
  • Insurance
    Please consider booking travel insurance if necessary.

    Really indulge and extend your weekend by staying one extra night for an awesome 4-hands dinner prepared by Lina and a super special guest chef that will be joining her!

Day 1
Introduction + Apéro + Dinner + Fireside Digestif

Between 3-5 PM: arrival at Riverhouse. 

5 PM:  The official welcome to the retreat and to each other! We'll take you on a tour of the property and explain the plan for the weekend. This will be followed by a guided meditation and a light yoga practice down by the river.

7 PM: Apéro time! Amazing cocktails and nibbles. 

8 PM: Dinner is served.

9:30 PM: Shake off the day and join us fireside with a digestif as we begin to introduce the idea of setting intentions.
