Discover the rich cultural heritage and UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Morocco, where many distinct peoples have left their indelible mark—from ancient Romans to the Arabs to the French—and encounter the living legacy of North Africa’s indigenous Amazigh, or Berbers. Explore the atmospheric souks of Marrakech and Fez, witnessing age-old crafts like damascening and hand-painted ceramics; venture to the ancient adobe villages, and into the Sahara on a camel and spend a night among the sweeping sand dunes of the world’s largest desert.
From the colorful souks of Marrakesh to sleeping under the stars in a Berber Camp in the Sahara Desert, Morocco overflows with beauty. Morocco is one of the world’s fastest growing travel destinations, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization, and for good reason. This North African country, about the same size as California, boasts astounding diversity: epic mountain ranges, ancient cities, expansive desert, Roman ruins, and stunning coastlines along both the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
It's a trip you’ll never forget!

After breakfast, you’ll head south through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakesh.
Nomad crossings, rose valleys and two-tone kasbahs: even on paper, the Dadès Valley stretches the imagination. From the daunting High Atlas of the north to the rugged Jebel Saghro range in the south, the valley is dotted with oases and mudbrick palaces that give the region its fairy-tale nickname—Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to stop for photos. You’ll also stop for lunch in a local village. Upon arrival in Marrakesh, hit up the main square, Jemaa el-Fnaa, for sunset and a bite to eat.
Overnight at Riad Joya
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, meet your guide for a city tour of Marrakech.
The major attraction here is the city itself. Marrakech's vibrant colors, aromatic dishes, indecipherable sounds and inimitable feel will linger in your memory long after you leave its corridors. Plan to spend most of your time in or around the medina, Marrakech's fortified old city. Marvel at ancient, elaborately decorated sights like the Saadian Tombs, the Badi Palace and Koutoubia Mosque before testing your haggling skills in Jemaa El Fna.
