About this trip

Join Kimberly Dahlmann, owner of Yoga East, for a 7 night / 8 day Ashtanga Yoga Retreat and exploration of Morocco.

Morocco is one of the most culturally rich and interesting places in the world. Bordering the Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea, Morocco’s vast and diverse landscape features ancient cities, stretches of empty beaches, and stark deserts and mountains touched by Berber, Arabian and European influences.

Our Morocco trip is unique as you will not be staying in one location, but rather traveling to 3 different cities, which in our opinion represent the “must see” highlights of Morocco: Marrakech (Days 1 -2), Taghazout (Days 2 -5) and Essaouira (Days 5-8).  Scroll all the way down to Itinerary below for more details.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot on this trip. The balance is due 120 days prior to trip start date.

Get ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime!

Itinerary

MARRAKECH: DAYS 1 - 2
Arrival + Exploration

Our trip will begin in the culturally rich city of Marrakech. Nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech was founded as a city in 1062 AD, and is world renowned for its souks  (markets) and medieval maze-like streets, stunning mosques and palaces, relaxing hammans (Moroccan baths), delicious food, and much more. A perfect place to assimilate and integrate into life in Morocco, we will spend our first afternoon and evening here, before heading to the relaxed beach town of Taghazout on Day 2 of our trip.

Most amazing experience I’ve had to date. We went hiking, to natural hot springs, took a cooking class in a locals home, went horse back riding, practiced yoga with an incredible view, and ate delicious local food. The island and resort are beautiful. I met so many amazing people and made friendships that I am so thankful for. Everything was planned for us it was so nice. I highly recommend this company & retreat. I’m already thinking of signing up for another!
Again, another great retreat. Very well organized with great excursions...a real value. Takes traveling with a group to a new healthy level! Always look forward to their retreats.
The Azores retreat with CC and Carolyn was a fantastic trip! Their classes were amazing and they worked hard to feel out the group, customizing the schedule and tempo accordingly. The resort was in a stunning location and the staff kind and accommodating. Sol Seeds provided us with knowledgeable guides who clearly loved to share the many adventures to be found on the island! The itinerary was well thought out and organized, and the team worked very hard to make sure everyone was getting the most out of their experience!
It was a great trip, the Azores are amazing. Carolyn and CC are fabulous, top notch teachers, fun and great people. I expected more from SolSeed. I had a friend who raved about Kristen and Ian but they weren't on our trip. There were miscommunications with scheduling changes and planning excursions on free days that easily could have been avoided. Also, more information could have been provided about the resort so we knew what to expect. Nothing earth shattering but, for example, it would have been helpful to know that the staff spoke limited English so if we requested something (like towels or face cloths) we wouldn't always be understood (or get the face cloths!) The staff was always very nice and again not a big deal but would have been nice to know in advance. Fun Activities gets an A+ and all your tours should go back to the farm to table restaurant (one of the best meals I've ever had!) and the wine tour.
Trip was well planned. Resort was lovely, but did need to do something about slippery showers and better lighting on the walkways. Food was good; wine was outstanding. Planned days were very well done. All in all it was a very nice time.
