Dear NomHub Team, I want to extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude to each and every one of you. Your support throughout this experience was truly remarkable. You were incredibly helpful and supportive. All of the team members were attentive and caring. They were keen to ensure that this is a joyful and meaningful experience for everyone involved – both the children and volunteers. Both Amour and Moh Amigo were engaged, thoughtful, and had positive energy throughout the trip. They showed great flexibility to attain to the different requests and unforeseen changes. It was a pleasure to work with them both. In addition, it was a sincere pleasure to meet with all the team members in the orphanage especially Mama Mariam. She was a delight and joyful. I still miss her famous Shai. With this, I would like to share one comment that I feel might make this experience better for the next volunteers. Once we arrived, the team shared with us the learning topics for each day. I wish that was shared with us before arriving in order to prepare better to deliver the lessons. I understand that the reason might be to not burden the he volunteers or worry them. Yet, I felt that the topics were very important and beneficial and with proper preparation, I would have delivered with better outcomes. Other than that, everything in the trip was spectacular. The team was very punctual and helpful. The tourist visits were well chosen. I enjoyed each day. Of course, my favorite part was mingling with the kids. They are heart warming and welcoming. They have great potential and were very engaging with us. Thank you for organizing this trip. Your hard work and dedication cannot go unnoticed. This experience is one of the best in my life. It was both humbling and deeply rewarding, and it would not have been the same without your care and commitment. I am sincerely grateful for all that you do and for the impact you create. I truly look forward to the opportunity to join again in the future. With heartfelt thanks, Areej AlOmari, Saudi Arabia

My third time back with nomuhub and definitely not the last time. It was so well designed that we can see the impact feel it and actual contribute in a sustainable way towards the community. The team was as hospitable as always.

I had a great time. What made my trip was the Nomuhub guides, especially Salim and Amigo. I only wish there was more volunteering involved, compared to the tourism. Something i wish was enforced is staying on time. Too much time was wasted waiting for late people who were chronically late everyday to go to the bus or the hotel. I think this makes the rest of the group suffer and lose out on their experience. I think there should've been more tailored experiences for the kids. Not just lectures, but merging their interests with learning. More building, acting, giving speeches, dancing, writing, reading, etc. And i think the material should be more tailored to their country, zanzibar, tanzania and africa. What problems do they face? How can they solve them? I think for next time the kids should be asked what they want and the volunteers can have the opportunity to provide it for them (gifts and materials). I think there should be more consideration when 2 are sharing a room. A curfew and smoking vs non smoking rooms. And there should be rules on smoking in the buses and other transportation. Thank you for the wonderful time.

My Unforgettable Zanzibar Volunteer Experience with Nomuhub – December 21-27, 2025 I recently had the most incredible week volunteering in Zanzibar with Nomuhub, from December 21st to 27th, 2025, and I feel compelled to share just how life-changing this experience was. From the very beginning, the organization exceeded every expectation. The pickup and transportation were punctual, smooth, and comfortable, making the start of the journey stress-free. Accommodation-wise, I upgraded to a 4-star hotel, which was luxurious and relaxing, yet I was also charmed by the original hotel where we had lunch one day—it was cozy, authentic, and full of local character. The food deserves its own praise—it was more than excellent. Salim, I called our food master, recommended the best restaurants, and he did so with such confidence that I could truly follow his lead with closed eyes and an open heart (and stomach!). Every meal was a treat, and it gave me a true taste of Zanzibar’s vibrant flavors. Social activities organized by Amigo, our amazing tour guide, were beyond my expectations. Every activity was thoughtfully planned, fun, and immersive, allowing us to experience the culture, nature, and joy of the island fully. The people made this trip truly unforgettable. Amigo, our tour guide, brought energy, warmth, and humor to every moment. Mama Maryam crafted the most delicious coffee and Karak tea, making every morning feel special. Amour, our team leader, is impossible to describe in words—his kindness, wisdom, and compassion restored my faith in humanity. These people didn’t just lead the trip—they inspired us, cared for us, and became part of our hearts. The heart of this journey was the Hope Orphanage. This simple yet cozy place became a home for our hearts. The children greeted us every day with smiles and laughter, and their intelligence, curiosity, and warmth touched me deeply. Watching them grow, play, and learn over the week was both inspiring and humbling. The curriculum provided by Nomuhub was simple, clear, and incredibly effective. It was amazing to see how these children absorbed knowledge, and I was constantly amazed by their bright minds. This week with them was truly life-changing, a journey of connection, learning, and love that I will carry with me forever. Finally, for future travelers heading to the orphanage, here’s a gift list of items that truly delight the children and help enrich their learning and play: Cultural & Religious Gifts: Small prayer mats Dates Mini Ka’aba replicas Modest educational storybooks related to Islamic teachings Fun & Play: Small handheld fans (it gets warm!) Balloons and bubble games Board games that challenge the mind and encourage group play Play-dough LEGO sets Memory and puzzle games Educational & Career-Inspiring Gifts: Medical-themed kits (stethoscopes, doctor play sets) for children who dream of becoming doctors Educational tools that encourage curiosity, creativity, and learning Every item, every smile, every shared moment made this week with Nomuhub an unforgettable, soul-enriching experience. I feel so grateful to have been part of it, and I know that future travelers will find the same magic in Zanzibar that I did. I could go on and on about this week, but I think you rather live it by yourself, enjoy
