Blue City

Chefchaouen

With its distinctive pale blue and whitewashed buildings and winding alleyways, Chefchaouen is a charming place with strong Andalusia connections. It was here that many Jews and Moors fled during the Spanish Inquisition. Highlights of our day we will scrolling through the streets with our English speaking guide.  And we will take a little time to do a mini photo shoot.

Tip for the Chefchaouen tour is included.

Fes

 Fes image

City Tour of Fes

2 nights in Fes.

Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital, is one of the most complete medieval Islamic cities in the world. Walking through the gates and walls into the passages almost brings you back in time. Perhaps only the satellite dishes will remind you of today’s world. The streets are very much as they were when they were built in the 8th century, with high walls that defend the courtyards inside from the heat of the midday sun.

Tip for the Fes city tour is included.

Sahari desert

Sahari desert image

Overnight in the desert

We head off into the vastness of the dunes on a camel caravan accompanied by camelteers. The sturdy camel has been a mainstay of desert life over the centuries, being used to ship the precious cargoes from Sub Saharan African to the trading ports of the Mediterranean coast. You can ride or walk alongside as you slip into the pace of the caravan led by Berber guides and marvel at the awesome spectacle of the desert and the solitude and silence that comes with it.

We will spend the night in Desert Luxury Camp in a tent with a private ensuite bathroom.

*Singles will be paired up with other singles.  Tents are family style. *

Tips for the luxury camp and meals are included

Beverages are not included

Todra Gorge

Todra Gorge image

Driving through the Atlas Mountain

Departing the desert, we’ll travel to the spectacular gorge of Todra, considered one of the most dramatic sights one can come across in all of Morocco. The gorge was carved out by the Todra river, which formed cliff-sided canyons on its final 40 km through the mountains. The final 600m of the gorge are stunning as the canyon narrows to a flat stony track, which is as little as 10m wide in areas with sheer and smooth rock walls. After our visit and taking a break to stretch our legs, than transfer to Dades gorge

Beverages are not included

Ouarzazate

Morning departure to Ouarzazate and to Ait Ben haddou. This is probably the best-preserved fortified Kasbah in the country. With its dramatic walls of red earth, slit windows and crumbling towers, it is a magnificent example of a traditional stronghold. Chosen as a location for Hollywood films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jewel in the Nile, and more recently Gladiator, Ait Ben Haddou sits upon a lofty pinnacle of rock overlooking a river. Dating from around the 15th century, its importance as a trading post gradually waned, and today's inhabitants make a living from farming... and as film extras!. Then we set onto the dramatic drive of Tizi n Tichka that will take us to Marrakech opening the landscapes to some breathtaking views of many Berber villages, snow capped mountains and green valleys.
