About this trip

Trip was great..pretty venue, excellent food and entertainment. Not so happy with bus..no "envelopes" on seatback to store things, no hooks on seats to hang purses, no handrails for walking down aisle, seats small and cramped.  Sorry.

Holidays at Mount Hope

First  of all, I was not seated on the bus with the people that I asked to be seated with and was not even near them.  Second,  the bus windows were very dirty.
The restaurant that we ate at was Carmines.  It was delicious.  The Christmas Doo Wop was excellent.

we had a wonderful time....Enjoyed the show. It was terrific.  It was a fun time for everyone and made the season start off happy.

We had a great time!  The lunch was wonderful.  Nemours was really beautiful and unexpectedly felt like a home unlike other large mansions I've toured.  Longwood Gardens was spectacularly beautiful as always.  The itinerary was exactly as planned and we got home when I thought we would.  I don't think it could have been better.

Brooklyn Pizza and Neighborhood Tour

Was a perfect fall day to visit Brooklyn. Got to see the Brooklyn Bridge up close,  
Coney Island for the first time and parts of Brooklyn I had never seen before. Tour guide was friendly and very entertaining. Of course, the best part was getting to eat incredible margherita and Sicilian pizza.  Was a very enjoyable trip.

Loved the play and the food was awesome. Best Italian ever except my mom's 

“& Juliet” on Broadway

As always the day trip with Garden State are enjoyable and well worth the cost.  Comfort and new things to see and do are exciting.  Thank you Faith.

Haunted Happenings, Boston and Salem, Massachusetts

One of the best things in life was me meeting Garden state getaways and the entire staff who assist Faith.  This trip was  packed with great restaurants,  a magnificent hotel BRAVO to ENCORE...AND AWSOME SPOOKY TOURS, Next year RAILS AND SAILS...I HEAR GREAT THINGS.  TERESA A. FINN (TERRI)

Absolutely gorgeous scenery! All the sights including Anakeesta and Dollywood were beautifully decorated for the fall season and the weather was just perfect which added to the enjoyment of the trip. Country Tonite theatre show was great! Friendly bus companions too! Even got to sample some moonshine:) Fun trip!

Smoky Mountains

Wow, wow, and wow!!!  Such a fun, informative getaway. The Encore Hotel is definitely a spoiler--especially Alexa!!  Lol
Loved all the museums and tours. The Jac O Lantern Spectacular was spectacular!!!  Salem was very fun. Quincey Market and Faniel Hall had great food and eclectic kiosks for shopping. The street violinist was a special departing gift

Broadway Play “& Juliet"

We had the best time In Tennessee. The Smoky Mountains were gorgeous and Dollywood was so picturesque this time of year. 
Vickie and Eddie helped make it a fun time-we all had quite a few laughs on the bus. I can’t wait until my next trip with Garden State Getaways!

My recent bus trip to Mackinac Island was an absolute delight from start to finish. The entire experience, from the planning stages to the actual trip, exceeded my expectations.

First and foremost, I have to commend Faith and the team for their exceptional communication and organization during the planning process. Faith made everything effortless, and her reliability made me feel at ease throughout the entire journey. Any questions or concerns I had were promptly addressed, and she ensured that all the details were taken care of. The stress-free planning definitely set the tone for the trip.

As for the trip itself, it was of the highest quality. The scenic route to Mackinac Island was breathtaking, and our knowledgeable guide provided fascinating insights along the way. The journey was comfortable and filled with picturesque views that made time fly by.  Eddie was an amazing safe bus driver.

One of the highlights of the trip was the food choices. From delicious local cuisine to a variety of options that catered to all tastes and dietary preferences, there was something for everyone. It was a culinary adventure that allowed us to savor the flavors of the region, and I was particularly impressed with the quality and variety of meals provided.

Accommodations on the trip were comfortable and exceeded my expectations. I felt well-rested and relaxed each night, which allowed me to fully enjoy the days exploring Mackinac Island. The accommodations were clean, well-maintained, and provided a peaceful retreat after our daily adventures.

Thank you to Faith and the entire team for making this trip a memorable one!

It was a wonderful day. Faith is a very organized trip leader, covering every detail. The bus is very comfortable. 

Broadway Play “A Beautiful Noise”, The Neil Diamond Musical

The show was absolutely wonderful, the seats great and the lunch venue was also superb. Faith, it was as a pleasure for your husband to accompany us. I can see why you married him!

Had a great time   nice people, good food, beautiful vistas.   





We had a great time.  The ride was very long. The accommodations once we got to both hotels was fantastic.

The food was not very good. All fried chicken choices.

The time we spent touring the Smokey mountains could have been longer. Didn’t have time to walk any of the trails.

There were too many shopping stops. 

Dollywood was scheduled for a night experience of seeing the pumpkins light up but we departed before this occurred.

Terrific show - a Broadway must-see! Absolutely loved it!

And dinner at Connolley's was perfect for lunch prior to the show.

Always enjoy our Garden State Getaway trips!

We had a fun time. The Smoky Mountains are beautiful, our tour guides were informative. Hotels & food were great. Vikki was an involved participant in our activities, her smile never faded. Those Tennessee folks are super cordial too!


The trip was wonderful.  I would suggest that you ask travelers to refrain from using fragrance, I had a terrible reaction to someone’s perfume.

Bus ride was very enjoyable with Faith leading the way. This was an amazing organized evening with good food and great show. It was wonderful to share with good friends. 

Loved, loved the play - so much fun and the music was great.  The actors were young and energetic - wonderful day.  Garden State is the best way to travel to NYC to see plays.  Thank you Faith and your husband John - he was a super guide, very helpful.

This was a great trip.  Loved the show, and had a delicious lunch at Tropicana.  Faith, thanks for organizing and making it available. 

Tropicana Atlantic City Musical Tribute to Neil Diamond

This was my second experience with Getaways and it was great. They make it so easy! The bus, lunch, and show were all very well organized and stress free. I will definitely go again.

Had a wonderful day.  Thank you to Faith.  She is great - very attentive and on top of everything.

This is only my 2nd trip with GSG , and it was just as great as the 1st ! The bus was smooth, our driver was amazing in NYC, the people were all friendly. Our Host for the day was John, he was informative and all went smoothly ! Our lunch was so tasty, well timed with our need to get to the show on time. The play was very, very cool , modern and clever. Next trip up for me will be my 1st multi-day trip and I couldn't be more relaxed and excited about it !!!! 

I had a nice time. The show was good.  My meal - prime rib - was good.  My only complaint is that they crammed too many people at each table.  We were placed with nine other people - where there should have only been eight total at the table.  It was very uncomfortable.  

My sister and I had another wonderful trip with Garden State Getaways to Memphis and Nashville. Such a well-organized trip with lots to see and do that was timed perfectly. We couldn’t wait to get to Nashville, but were pleasantly surprised how much we like Graceland, OMG a must see. The guest house hotel was such a nice treat. Very clean and thoughtfully designed for comfort, making you feel very welcome with what you would think were just simple touches that made it unique to others hotel stays. There was so much history to explore at Graceland, and we enjoyed it all.  Nashville was also a great place to visit. The Gaylord Opryland Resort was such an experience on its own as it had so much to see and explore. All the well-planned excursions were exciting, especially the RCA studio B, a must see. We also had a local tour guide that was great at giving us the history of Nashville as we traveled to each excursion. The grand finale was the Grand Ole Opry, with a morning tour backstage, followed by the evening performance.  Also want to mention Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen as it had exceptionally great food and atmosphere. We met so many great people on the bus that made the trip even more memorable. A big thank you to Eddie, our driver who is excellent and caring, not only did he get us there and back safely but made sure we all got on and off the bus safely as well.  Lastly, Thank you Faith for another wonderful planned out trip.  You are so good at what you do.  We are looking forward to many more future trips with Garden State Getaways. NASHVILLE and MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE

We had a great trip from beginning to end. We had great accommodations, good food. Shows and tours were great and planned very well. Eddie our bus driver was excellent and kept everyone safe and always greeted us with a smile. We had games on the bus, movies to watch. Faith was fantastic. Our schedule was always full and very well planned out. We met so many nice people on this trip. We look forward to the next trip. 

Colleen was wonderful, so pleasant and helpful.
The bus was clean, and the temperature was comfortable.
The production of Moses was very good.
Everything that was promised was delivered.

RENAISSANCE Rails and Sails

Rails & Sails was a trip filled with lots  of good memories.   I traveled solo, but within minutes, met so many friendly fellow travelers and never felt alone.  Each destination was carefully planned out with ample time to enjoy all the sights, as well as, free time.  Tour guides were EXCELLENT.  BIG thank you to Vicky our trip leader and Joe our bus driver who made sure that everything went smoothly.  Looking forward to my next trip with GSG!!!

Rails and Sails

Oh I'm so glad you sent this, I wanted to tell you how great the trip was and how super Vicky was on her first trip overnight, she is so nice and accommodating, Marge and Marty Ebner 

I enjoyed the trip.  Felt the tour director could have been much more interactive with us.  Also, since I had taken the Long Island trip, I did like that it ended with a lunch altogether as we had gotten to know people over the last three days.  Wouldn't have minded a higher price to have a lunch as a group included.  This feedback didn't detract from an enjoyable trip.  I will definitely do Garden State Getaways again.  

Explore the Eastern Shore

Thanks to Faith's expertise and planning this was another wonderful trip with her and Garden State Getaways.  Mackinac Island was a step back in time and a welcome change of pace as the island was motor vehicle free !!  The Grand Hotel was luxury and elegance at its finest.  And, as always with Faith's trips, there was so much more.  Seeing the Ford F-150 being built was fun and the Henry Ford Museum was absolutely incredible with its displays of machinery, cars, airplanes and other Americana from days gone by.  Once again Faith chose terrific places for meals that had delicious food and clean, comfortable places to stay as well as the two great nights we stayed in and enjoyed the Grand Hotel.  Thank you Faith for a trip which will be remembered for a lifetime and for all the wonderful trips we have taken with you and Garden State Getaways.  And we also had the pleasure of having Eddie as our  driver who did his usual, incredible job of driving.  That's why we so much enjoy travelling with you Faith.  You are THE BEST !!!!            

As usual Faith delivers the best trips! Her itineraries are great, the food is awesome. She is the ultimate planner, professional, courteous & amicable. We even had beautiful weather!

Was a wonderful trip! Faith did a awesome job! Was pleasantly surprised with Ford plant Thunder Bay Resort and accommodation at the Grand Hotel!! Looking forward to more trips with Garden State Getaways!! They are truly 5 stars!

The leader and bus driver were great.  Too much was crammed into too short a time.  The rail trip was terrible..bathrooms not in each car so had to go through cars with no safety features..your foot could get caught between cars and have a serious problem.  Train could be eliminated.
Longer time at historical places, eliminate or shorten shopping time.   Too busy a schedule..

Overnight stay hotels excellent.
As for food on trip...some good some served cold.   Wine prices too high.  My first trip and although I made good friends, I  travel extensively and this trip needs to be fine tuned.

We had a lovely time despite the weather. The hotel was very comfortable, the room spacious, and the meals delicious. The local guide was  extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely take another trip with this company.

It was a rainy day but totally enjoyable! Lunch at the Cock &Bull was delicious from salad to dessert AND Menopause 2 was great…..soooo many laughs!!! 
Faith is super detail oriented, you can’t go wrong going with Garden State Getaways!!

Our trip was amazing! Faith and Carl couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. We ate at the Eataly restaurant and had the best Italian meal ! Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone and looking forward to another one soon! Thank you!

9/11 MEMORIAL MUSEUM and EATALY

Faith you put together a real nice trip  we even were impressed with the Whales.  Plenty!!  The lobster dinner was  real nice as was the rest of the restaurants  Martha’s Vinyard was another  winner as was the Korean War memorial   Again a trip well planned!!
