Columbia River Gorge and Hood River

Our Executive Coach will whisk guests into the gorge, first stopping at Vista House for incredible views into the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, and then continue on to Multnomah Falls to see the lush early-summer foliage flanking the turbulent water. Lunch will be in the historic Multnomah Falls Lodge before heading into Cascade Locks for some soft-serve ice cream from the Eastwind Drive In.  Having satisfied our craving for food, we will cross over to the Washington side of the Gorge and meander the aisles of Bingen's Antiques & Oddities before heading to a vineyard to sample the delights from their harvest. In the evening, we will check into our hotel in Hood River and have dinner.

Day 2 - Thurs., June 26

Mount Hood Scenic Railway

Today begins with breakfast and then a mid-morning visit to the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum where we will see the largest collection of still-flying antique airplanes and still-driving antique automobiles. From planes and automobiles, we will move on to trains at the Mount Hood Scenic Railway to twist and turn through orchards, vineyards, and forests with views of snow-capped Mt Hood. We will have a rest stop at The Fruit Company before returning to Hood River to visit a few locations on the famed Farm Loop. After enjoying a few Farm Loop stops, we will continue the circuit of Mt Hood and check into the historic Timberline Lodge before enjoying dinner at the Lodge. After dinner, step outside to view the starry skies and then head back to the hotel for a rest.

Day 3 - Friday, June 27

Government Camp and Mount Hood Meadows

This morning will feature a leisurely start to the day with breakfast at the The Lodge and some free time to enjoy Timberline Lodge's beauty and history before a visit to the Mt Hood Cultural Center and Museum, a regional history and World Class Ski Museum. We will then drive to Trillium Lake for one of the most famous viewpoints in Oregon, Trillium Lake with Mt Hood in the background. Lunch will help fuel our afternoon, where we will head to Mt. Hood Meadows for a closer look at the mountain via a scenic chairlift ride. If you have not been to Mt Hood Meadows in the summer, you are in for a treat (and will see why it is called 'meadows') with evergreen trees surrounding thick green fields. This evening we will enjoy dinner at a Government Camp restaurant before heading back to Timberline Lodge.

Day 4 - Sat., June 28

Bigfoot..... then back to Town

The morning of our final day will again have a leisurely morning to enjoy breakfast, rest and relax before heading down the mountain for a final stop to see a Northwest legend - Bigfoot. The North American Bigfoot Museum is a destination for travelers along Highway 26, showing off exhibits and evidence of our regional furry friend. We will take a picture with Murphy (the life-size Bigfoot) and then run down to the Clackamas River for lunch in Carver before making our way to Tualatin, Woodburn, and Salem.
