From Arusha depart set off in vehicles for the long drive to the starting point of the Lemosho Trail, Londorossi Gate. Approaching the mountain from the west, the Lemosho Route begins in the Afromontane rainforest, which is the first of four ecological zones you encounter on Mt Kilimanjaro. Here, you'll meet up with the rest of your crew and set off at a leisurely pace while keeping your eyes peeled for wildlife. Lunch is taken en route and camp is reached in the afternoon. From the forested slopes of Lemosho you ascend through a forest of podocarpus and juniper and then reach an area of ​​volcanic rock covered with heather and lichen and the Shira Plateau, which used to be the third peak of Kilimanjaro that it collapsed. Now you have a relatively short day to get to Karanga arrive at camp after conquering the intimidating Barranco Wall. Depart just before midnight for the final summit. Patience and persistence are the name of the game to get to the top, and this is the coldest and windiest part of your adventure. Most likely it will arrive near the rim of Stella Point at an altitude of 18,652 feet at dawn when the first rays of light begin to appear on the Tanzanian landscape. Here you will be rewarded with the most glorious sunrise over Mawenzi Peak you will ever see. The climb via Stella Point offers a relatively short
final section to Uhuru Peak, the roof of Africa!Take as many photos as possible! After a short celebration at the top, the exciting trek back down begins.
