A one day training workshop on focuses on building participants knowledge of the flora and fauna of hill and mountain landscapes in Scotland, everything identifying heathers, trees, animal tracks, wildflowers and lichens.

The workshop should be very helpful to prospective Lowland, Hill and Moorland and Mountain Leader candidates, getting ready for assessment.

Kit and clothing for a hill walk in Spring: waterproofs, warm layers, boots, packed lunch, hat and gloves, flask.

A notepad and paper and a camera would also be useful for the day.
