About your trip

Pattale Hill Village, a small mountain settlement 240 km east of Kathmandu, is one of the best viewpoints to see the magnificent Mt. Everest at 8,848 mand many other Himalayan peaks. The road to Pattale passes through scenic villages, river valleys, and terraced mountain settlements.

A short hike to Pattale offers a glimpse into the unique culture and lifestyle of the Sherpa and Magar indigenous people. The major inhabitants are Magar, Sherpa, Rai, and Tamang, whose main occupations are agriculture, trade, and tourism. You can enjoy traditional Sherpa culture and lifestyle. During February and April, the rhododendrons (the national flower of Nepal) bloom spectacularly, adding to the beauty of Pattale Hill.

Highlights of the Pattale Hill Trek:

  • Panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other Himalayan peaks.
