Demi and his team at DGA went above and beyond to make my Kilimanjaro trek an unforgettable experience. From the initial booking to the final descent, their professionalism, care, and expertise were outstanding.
In the weeks before I arrived, Demi was very responsive to my questions regarding the gear list, itinerary, etc. and even face-timed with me if it was easier to talk through them.
Demi was an excellent guide during the trek. He had a great safety first mentality to monitor my adjustment to the altitude and make sure I was comfortable with the pace. He was very knowledgeable about the mountain terrain and even pointed out interesting plants and animals. On the summit night, the pacing was absolutely perfect and Demi provided great motivation and coaching.
Cony prepared very tasty meals and I was surprised by the quality and variety of food he made considering we were on a mountain. The porters were great as well. It was impressive how fast they were on the trail and how quickly they set up camp.
Since I finished the trek early, Demi even organized a one day safari for me at Arusha National Park afterwards. I appreciate how he was able to do this even though there was very little notice.
I can't say enough great things about my experience with DGA. I'm happy I was able to support a locally owned business that provided an amazing service at a reasonable price. If you are planning to climb Kilimanjaro, I wholeheartedly recommend DGA.
