About this trip

Mula Bandha Rising!

The Sanskrit word mula refers to the root of a plant or the origin of a thing. Bandha means to bond, connect, unite, join. In this retreat, you will strengthen your mula bandha by connecting and grounding. Anchor in your truth and find unity within your body and mother earth; we can expand and rise together. Come reset, heal, and grow with the beautiful mountains of Park City, UT!

*This retreat is for women only*

Your First Yoga Retreat….or your second or third! Either way, we want you to know that this retreat is FOR you, no matter where you are in your journey. If you can move your body and have a willingness to dive deeper into your spiritual-self, this immersion retreat is for you!

To set the record straight, going on a yoga retreat doesn’t mean you’ll be doing yoga and meditation all day, every day. Our retreats have a lot of benefits, and many of them come from what we do outside of our yoga practice, which is twice each day.

  1. Community: Going on a yoga retreat is like entering a new community. Yoga is about connecting, and you’ll be surrounded by like-minded people who are committed to more than a class fit in around their busy work week. It’s a wonderful opportunity to speak and learn with others and be a part of a community as much or as little as you like. Most retreaters choose to attend a yoga retreat solo, but there’s no fear of being lonely. A sense of freedom can come from spending time with people who know nothing about you, and connections can form faster than you think. Make the most of this retreat experience by having no expectations, of yourself or the other attendees. Our yoga retreats are seen as a safe place. There will be stories and experiences shared that people may not even choose to share with their closest friends.
  2. Healthy Food Options: The food on our retreats is as important as the yoga! We take this part VERY seriously. All meals and snacks are included, and you can bet on them being healthy, delicious, and nurturing. All meals are plant-based and made with so much love you’ll feel like you're getting a warm hug from every meal. In addition, meal times are another time to enjoy being a part of a community, when we all sit down together and reminisce about the day while looking forward to the next.
  3. A Digital Detox: Our retreat presents a great opportunity to try a digital detox. We recommend spending your retreat away from social media and the constant connection we usually experience, and focus on connecting with yourself instead. We understand the importance of digital connection in this day in age. So we just ask that you try and limit yourself to certain times of day and go somewhere private for your conversations.
  4. Time Away from the Day-to-Day for Deep Relaxation + Reflection:  When you are doing life it's hard to take any time away for yourself, to either sit and contemplate, reflect or just rest and relax. This immersion retreat is designed for that. We create a space for you to get away from the day-to-day so you can 100% focus on YOURSELF. The workshops and circles we hold offer time for reflection and discussion on deep topics you can't give to yourself while you're at home. We know that you’re looking for a break and a bit of downtime, and we have built that free time into the retreat schedule. You can use this time to do whatever makes you feel more energized, whether it’s sunning in a lounge chair, reading a book, walking along the lake or nature trail, writing in a journal, exploring, or taking a nap.
  5. A Change in Body, Mind, Spirit: This yoga retreat is still about yoga and meditation, and the increase in classes will likely lead to faster advances in your practice than when you’re at home. Without the usual distractions of daily life and the extra time to focus, you’ll notice your body getting stronger, your mind getting clearer and your soul getting fed.

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 15 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully. I completed my 200 hour training with Yoga Works in Costa Rica and have continued my education with Yoga Journal Conferences, Wanderlust Events and online. I have taught all over California, Mexico and Central America, but I will always be a student of the practice. I am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my teachers have shared with me. In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help others thrive in life by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga. My hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.

Amazing mini retreat with Whitney!! Lots of great yoga practice on the sky deck and the cozy jungle deck.... and sooo relaxing doing yoga nidra. Food was really delicious. Super zen vibe. Great location for a retreat.

Oh my goodness. The chakra healing and yoga retreat with Whit and Sarah was pure, life changing, MAGIC. It was exactly what I needed at this time in my life, too. When I saw the opportunity come up to go, I knew I was meant to be there! The colorful pieces all over the house, the little gifts we were given, the bonding with the group of women, the hiking, meditation, and so much more-- it was all perfect! Also, the food was freaking fantastic. Everything was color coordinated with our chakras we were working on, and it was all plant based (which is the lifestyle I already practice, so I didn't have to worry about being hungry or unsatisfied at all!). Sarah and Whit's energies are so balanced with each other and I loved their passion and knowledge for everything we did and learned the whole time. We dug deep into our hearts and souls and we all were able to grow on a whole other level than we ever had before. Everything was perfect, and it was literally life changing. I highly recommend these retreats to anyone and everyone. It is wonderful to be able to see new places, meet new people, and learn new things, all while surrounded by open minds and hearts!

Workshop was marketed as having a smoothie included and a 5 day meal plan. There was no smoothie provided and no follow up in the last 48 hours with a meal plan. The workshop seemed disorganized with a flow that was effective but challenging for a rusty yogi and my friend who had an injury and is struggling with her weight. The moves/postures were described without guidance on modifications or teacher assistance to ensure proper posture. Whitney was very nice when I met her but also crass, which at times was uncomfortable. If it was a free yoga class I would have given it another star but being a paid event, I would have liked to get what I was told to expect in the invite. I would not attend another workshop or event in the future.

The Chakra Healing Detox Retreat was an incredible experience! Whitney and Sarah provided a safe and challenging space for all of us to dig deep into our past, present, and develop our futures. I learned the foundational information about chakras, was able to practice yoga everyday, and had an incredible opportunity to grow personally and spiritually. Thank you so much for an amazing retreat and life-changing experience!
