About this trip

Give yourself the gift of relaxation, luxury, and rejuvenation by joining me on an exciting wanderlust journey to Costa Rica. Together we will take time to ground ourselves by connecting to the gifts of Mother Earth & focusing on reactivating our core chakra.  While enjoying the sounds of exotic birds singing, panoramic views of white sandy beaches, and cool tropical breezes, we can also utilize our time to quiet the mind, and go inward. The most evolving and transformative aspects of my own journey towards personal  healing and self discovery continues to come from these type of moments. During our stay, we will indulge in vegetarian cuisine, go on exciting earthing adventures, learn mindful breathing techniques, and participate in other healing practices. This will connect us with the elements of nature and activate the root chakra.  As a result of neglecting our energy bodies we feel tired, unmotivated, and blocked.  We owe it to ourselves to unplug from the things that are robbing us of our magnetic life force energy, and learn how to tune in to it for the purposes of creating a natural state of ebb & flow. Understanding the root chakra is of great importance, because it's the first energetic wheel of light located at the base of our "inner-Genetic" light body. When activated, it grounds you, and sets the foundation for clearing and activating your other 6 chakras. If you love nature, adventure, travel, feeling good, and meeting other like minded women... then this is the perfect retreat for you! Spaces are limited so don't hesitate to join me on this amazing journey. It will definitely be a high vibrating, awesome, eyeopening, fun filled experience you won't ever forget! Peace & Love

Travel Insurance:  (Highly Recommended) World Nomads Travel Insurance

 https://www.worldnomads.com/usa/travel-insurance/whats-covered/

Unexpected things do happen, which is why I highly recommend purchasing travel insurance within 14 days of your reservation (for your peace of mind & protection). This company covers travel at a certain distance from your home. You pay the insurance company a one time fee, or "premium," which can vary based on where you're traveling, how long your trip is, your age, and what activities you plan to participate in. The insurance company agrees to cover costs (up to a certain limit) for things like emergency medical treatment, lost or stolen luggage, delayed flights, or nonrefundable expenses should you have to unexpectedly cancel your trip!

Things to Remember When Traveling Abroad

1. Keep the address to your accommodation.
In both English and the native tongue written in both your phone's notes (or snap a photo)

2. Get travel insurance and register with World Nomads.
If your insurance doesn't already cover you overseas. If you get injured overseas, without insurance, you might have to head home or pay medical costs up front. Register with www.worldnomads.com or S.T.E.P. (Smart Traveler Enrollment Program)

3. Never walk alone at night.
Find a travel partner or walk slightly behind a couple. It sounds a little creepy, but you don't want to stand out as walking alone. Especially as a girl, the couple you could be following will usually get your vibe with a smile. Obviously, don't follow them home, but stay on the same side of the street as them.

4. Avoid dark or non-tourist areas at night.
If you feel uncomfortable, walk into very busy areas such as a restaurant.

5. If you think you are being followed.
Stop to ask security or a public place for help. You can walk into a hotel that's not yours to ask for help. Whatever you do, don't walk to where you're staying.

6. Keep money in more than one location.
In case you loose it or it is stolen.

7. Get a sturdy bag. Wear your backpack facing front.
Not something with a thin strap that can be broken, a clutch that can be grabbed, nor a wallet in a front or back pocket. People pick pocket tourist. If you look like a tourist (which you do), you're a target for professionals!

8. Don't bring attention to yourself as being a tourist
Especially if alone or in a small group.

9. If you're taking public transportation to a night club or to meeting up with friends for social outing.
You might be somewhere where the culture is for a more conservative attire, so you may feel more comfortable covering up or wearing a coat until you get to the venue. You could also bring clothes to change in to so that when you are in your youthful attire, you're in a group and not alone.

10. Don't over drink.
It seems obvious, but you're in a foreign country, so you're a target for all types of crimes just by being a tourist; being drunk just multiplies that risk by like a 1,000 (not actual statistic).

11. Lock Up!
If renting a car, lock your windows and doors, hide everything inside, and keep a lock on your belongings.

12. Always ask questions regarding public transport before taking it.
Maybe the train or bus will take you to Point B, but once at Point B, there won't be any cabs for the rest of your night's journey. Maybe something is available throughout the entire night, but only in increments of every couple hours. Just be sure about the schedule.

13. Pay the $20 - $40 to get an international sim card.
You can pop this into your iPhone and have internet everywhere. Google Maps will generally show you where a cab is taking you and Google Translate can help you ask locals questions.

14. Don't wear expensive jewelry.
Unless you're staying in a luxury hotel and have their private cabs driving you and picking you up.

15. Don't take cabs that aren't registered with the city.
"Private Cars" Be mindful. Make sure the cab driver identifies himself with proper identification.  Take a picture with him in front of the car so the license plate is showing and share it on social media.

16. Don't leave your drink unattended.
Anywhere. Ever.

17. Keep your friends and family posted on where you are.
Someone should always know where you are.

18. Trust your gut.
Seriously, it's probably right.

As a wife & mom working in the corporate world, I understand how challenging it is to find a healthy balance. Our jobs require so much of our time & is very demanding to say the least. At the end of the day, our energy often times feels depleted leaving very little left. It is extremely important to set aside time for ourselves to create balance in our lives. Investing in our mind, body, & spirit allows us the ability to pour from a cup that's always overflowing with vibrant & loving energy.
