I had a great time. Jonas and Rania were so welcoming and so friendly. I had an excellent experience and shared moments of creativity with like-minded people. I learned many new things. Jonas and Rania generously offered us their friendship and safely guided us on new paths of knowledge. At the same time, they also led us through paths of nature and the history of Amorgos. I feel that I now have two people by my side who will advise and support me in my writing. I gained two new friends. Thank you

Jonas is an expert in writing and publishing and conveyed his lessons in a dynamic fashion. Despite his success in the field, he has the much appreciated qualities of being humble and down-to-earth. His wife Rania added to the learning by sharing her social media prowess and also facilitating conversation with Greek writers by translating the more nuanced English phrases. While geared towards writers of psychological thrillers, the lessons learned seemed they could be applicable to almost any creative genre. Great small group on a quaint and remote Greek island. It's the place to go if you want to learn about writing while 'getting away from"it all."

WOW! This trip far exceeded my expectations. Jonas and Rania went out of their way to make these six days the trip of a lifetime. I arrived a couple of days early, as did a few other retreat attendees, and Jonas spent that time showing us around Athens. We saw more in those two days than we ever could have on our own. His passion for Greece and its history was energizing. We had dinner together each night, which really allowed us to connect and get to know one another before the retreat officially began. I met people on this trip who I know will become lifelong friends. The writing class itself was top-notch. Jonas is truly passionate, not just about writing, but about helping aspiring authors. I learned more in this class than I did with a writing coach over the span of seven months. Jonas has a gift for breaking down concepts, like “show, don’t tell,” in a way that finally clicked for me. He stays current with writing trends, which allows him to teach the latest strategies that give new authors a real fighting chance. His feedback was always constructive and encouraging, which made all the difference. And then there’s Rania—the icing on the cake. She is one of the happiest, most radiant people I’ve ever met. A wealth of knowledge on social media and book marketing, she’s living proof that her strategies work. Rania spent the days leading up to the retreat ensuring every detail of our stay was flawless—from the rooms and meals to transportation and thoughtful welcome gifts. As if all that wasn’t enough, we also went on two unforgettable hikes. Jonas and Rania guided us on a scenic hike between villages one afternoon, and another through their own village and to a local monastery. These were moments I’ll never forget. I can’t wait to return!

October is a lovely time to visit Greece—it's not crowded, most things are still open, and the people are warm, kind, and relaxed. The weather is perfect for hiking and sightseeing outside, and it's still possible to swim. Our tour leader, Jonas, also became our Boot Camp leader. He communicated well and had excellent attention to detail. I got what I was looking for in the Workshop - inspiration, encouragement, and days of practical and helpful information about writing. Highly recommended!

I attended the Retreat, hosted by Jonas and Rania in October 2024 as part of my solo holiday and as a way to kickstart my aspirational writing career. After a lot of various last minute changes, not least the ferries going on strike, everything worked out for the better in the end. Overall it was a wonderful experience in the magical island of Amorgos. The scenery was spectacular, the Greek hospitality was exemplary and the food was delicious at Lakki Village. It was like being part of an extended Greek family (even the cats and dogs were welcoming). The course participants were also friendly and i made long lasting friendships there. Most importantly, I was inspired by the classes and wish I could have stayed longer in Amorgos (had to leave on the 26th itself). With encouragement from both, I came out equipped and confident to start writing more and losing the fear in the process. I am hoping to be able to attend more of these retreats next year in Greece :)

What an amazing trip to Amorgos, Greece for the Psychological Thriller Readers Retreat. Hosted by the legendary Authors Jonas Saula and Rania Stone, I was delighted by this little corner of paradise. The hotel resort was lovely in its complete and modern rooms, ground amenities, dining options, the pool area and bar. Lena the bartender was superb. Rania's family owns and runs the resort. So friendly and inviting this family was, I could not ask for more. The resort is located right on the beach. I started my mornings with tea and breakfast and a glorious beach view. It does not get better than that. The retreat schedule of events was just right. Something fascinating to experience each day with plenty of time to explore or chill as you like. Jonas is the perfect host with knowledge, humor, energy enough for everyone. The author guests were accessible and engaging, even those we met via Zoom. It was thrilling to learn about their beginnings, writing styles, publishing and all. AND, oh the giveaways! The retreat swag is top notch. I truly enjoyed this experience and am looking forward to a return trip. I highly recommend this retreat experience.

We did the Reading Retreat in Amorgos June 2024, and it was fabulous!! The island, the venue, the food, the events—everything was perfect! It was so helpful to have Imagine Greece Retreats coordinate all arrangements, and they were readily available to answer questions. If you love reading and want to experience Greece, this is the way to do it!!
