Freestyle Watercolor Workshop June 2025

Discover the magic of watercolor in a relaxed, inspiring setting! Join Jenny Faw and Leslie Trimbach for a one-day OR two-day workshop where creativity flows as freely as the paint. With the motto “If you can see it, you can paint it!” our dynamic duo makes painting splashy florals, dreamy nature motifs, and loose landscapes feel like a breeze.

What to Expect:

• Hands-On Fun: Enjoy live demos, personalized tips, and plenty of one-on-one guidance.
• Creative Freedom: Experiment with dramatic bleeds, soft blossoms, and expressive strokes.
• Inspiring Setting: Paint surrounded by the natural beauty of the Nature Center.
• Social Vibes: Make art with friends and leave with finished pieces and fresh inspiration!

Workshop Options:

• One Day: Saturday, June 21 (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Two Days: Enjoy both Saturday and Sunday, June 21-22(10:00 AM – 3:00 PM each day)

A catered lunch and a glass of wine at the end of each day are on us! Please bring your favorite beverages and snacks, and check our supplies list before coming.

Workshop Itinerary

Saturday – Floral & Nature Motifs

• 10:00 AM: Kick off with a warm welcome and fun warmup exercises.
• 10:15 AM: Dive into painting simple nature-inspired motifs and landscapes.
• Noon: Break for a delicious catered lunch.
• 12:30 PM: Explore a variety of floral techniques and create your own beautiful floral design—with plenty of help along the way!
• 3:00 PM: Wrap up with a review of your work and a chat about the next steps.

• 10:00 AM: Start with an introduction and energizing warmup exercises.
• 10:15 AM: Focus on loose landscape and/or seascape painting in a two-step process that leaves a lot of room for experimentation.
• Noon: Enjoy a catered lunch break.
• 12:30 PM: Learn to paint sea creatures and freestyle loose flowers using techniques like glazing, transparency, and bold bleeds.
• 3:00 PM: Conclude with personalized guidance, a review of your creations, and plenty of inspiration to take home.
