Nadia Gilbert’s “Sahtein” project brings ancient Palestinian cuisine and wisdom into the future through cooking shows, workshops, and virtual experiences.
Join Nadia and the team for a peaceful, heart-opening immersion into Diasporic Palestinian cooking. Palestinian culture is deeply tied to land and ancestral connections, both to our farms and the wild lands we forage from. For those of us in the global diaspora, recreating that feeling of home and a sense of rootedness is vital. Together, we will learn to cook traditional and inspired dishes from the region, using local and seasonal produce from where we are located. We will also learn about how we can infuse everything we cook with our own, unique healing vibrations to nourish both our physical and energetic bodies.
Join this three day, two night retreat and immerse yourself in the sharing of food culture, hands on cooking classes, and a dive into local offerings of farm raised and wild foraged foods. This offering is limited to 15 participants.
Nadia is a Palestinian-American filmmaker, Reiki master, visual artist, and chef. Her self-produced cooking show “Sahtein,” has over 55k YouTube subscribers, and celebrates Palestinian cuisine and medicinal wisdom. This cuisine is close to the heart, and highly accessible to different diets and culinary skill levels. Nadia’s work is multifaceted, focusing on bridging cultural connections between “East” and “West,” and amplifying Diasporic voices.
Everything we consume has the power to change our lives and the world.
