      About this trip

      ¡Hola! Join Napa Valley College Spanish Professor Nicole Carrier (nicole.carrier@napavalley.edu) for NVC's annual Spanish Immersion Program in Salamanca, Spain this summer. The program begins in Madrid, where you will spend a day touring the city and visit the world famous Prado Museum and Royal Palace. After two nights, take a private motorcoach to Salamanca, where you will meet your host family and settle into this laidback university town. Spanish classes are carried out every morning from 9:00am-1:00pm, leaving you with plenty of time to explore. Your host family will cook you breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, if you wish. This program also includes an excursion to the beautiful towns of Segovia and La Granja. 

      There is an optional group flight available, via Air Canada, from San Francisco.













      Payment Information

      To register for this program: A $350 deposit is required by  March 1, 2023

      Balance Due/Final Payment by April 28, 2023

      CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations must be submitted in writing to TRC, and are subject to the terms of the Agreement for Services with your educational institution. The cancellation date is the date on which TRC receives the signed written notification of the intent to cancel at its place of business.

      REFUNDS: All refunds will be based upon the cancellation schedule provided above. Refunds may take 30 days or longer to process. No refunds will be made until payments are recovered by Tour Resource Consultants LLC from its suppliers. No refunds will be made on any services, meals or accommodations resulting from a participant’s absence from the tour itinerary or from the non-utilization of these program components by the participant.

        Host Family Accommodation in Salamanca sharing a twin-bedded room. Three meals a day included.

        Senator Castellana Hotel, including breakfast and dinner
      • Spanish Instruction
        20 hours/week, 4 hours/day Monday through Friday at Salamanca Universidad Pontificia focusing on Conversational Spanish
      • Half-Day Excursion
        Madrid Sightseeing, including private motorcoach and private guide, with included admissions to Prado and Royal Palace

        Excursion to Segovia and La Granja with private motorcoach and guide, including admissions

      The Wine Trip was better than I could have dreamed. Everything fell into place… the history on the winery visits was a big plus. So much history in the places where we stayed. Everything was taken care of, you did not have to worry about a thing. Great research on their part. 👍

      This trip was a once in a lifetime trip through Italy's countryside and it was simply amazing! Our small group was wonderful and we had so much fun together! We were taken to small family wineries and vineyards and learned about what makes them special. One of our wine tasting was in an Estuscan Tomb which was awesome! We had a walking food tour with our most excellent guide which was a fun and unique way to learn about the city and their food! We ate pizza, pasta and amazing gelato! We had a private pasta cooking lesson where we made nocci which was fun. We stayed in some beautiful cities where the landscape was breathtaking. We drank alot of excellent cappicinos and ate a lot of delicious pastries! We did it all and we owe it all to the leaders of this tour Allison, Andie and Tessa who put this trip together and made it alot of fun! If you are thinking of a trip to Italy join one of their tours you will NOT be disappointed!

      This trip was well planned and very well executed. Grazie mille to Allison, Tessa and Andie. There was a nice balance of planned activities and free time to explore. The wineries were varied and delightful. The different Italian regions were beautiful and interesting. The experience at Cocci Grifoni was especially memorable as was the wine tasting in the Etruscan cave and Assisi. Our band of merry travelers was cohesive and fun. A terrific experience!!

      This was a once in a life adventure to fabulous locations with a great group of travelers! We had amazing food and wine from lovely local wineries. The tour leaders were exceptional! We absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Italy from a local perspective.
