I purchased this weekend workshop for my daughter and me to attend to celebrate her birthday. We are both interested in textile arts, and we were pleased with both the outcome and the information from this workshop. I particularly loved the indigo dying and wish I had had an entire weekend to dedicate to it! Kristen was incredibly knowledgeable, and I learned a great deal about various resist practices and natural dyeing from plants. The venue was beautiful, and I must say the catered lunches were outstanding! My daughter is a vegan, and I have multiple food allergies, so we are both used to packing our own food. But Kristen hired the most amazing caterer! She had every dish labeled, offering both gluten-free and vegan options on both days, which my daughter said were delicious and filling. Overall, we had a great time and are now encouraged to attempt some dyeing on our own and expand our fabric knowledge. I would highly recommend Kristen and her classes.

Kristin is a fabulous instructor! I’ve taken a number of her natural dyeing workshops and they’re very informative, relaxed, and fun. The Summer Natural Dyes Immersion was well-paced and covered so much, with a good balance of instruction and open studio time. The setting was beautiful, too. Highly recommend it!

This was an amazing 2-day workshop in a beautiful setting. Kristin was encouraging, informative, and gave participants plenty of time to practice, experiment, and discover.
