Food

We will be eating fresh, organic, locally grown plant based meals lovingly prepared according to the Ayurvedic principle of food as medicine. Ayurveda views food as both nourishment and a primary tool for self healing, essential for balancing the mind, body, and spirit.

This approach blends flavourful ingredients with health benefits, creating meals that satisfy your senses while enhancing your vitality with culinary richness and balance. We use a pallette of sattvic ingredients to ensure that your food supports your yoga, mediation and cleansing practices, leaving you feeling nourished, balanced and strong. Here we move beyond calories and macronutrients to embrace food as a tool for creating harmony, balance, and optimal health.

As much as possible of our gorgeous fruit and veg will come from Tolhurst Organic farm, based on site, who use stock free farming to produce the lowest possible carbon footprint, cruelty free food. Their work is truly inspiring and aligned with our ethos of re-connecting and re-aligning with mother nature to live in more harmony.

Arrive, Land & Connect

Arrive from mid-afternoon and settle into your bell tent or cosy accommodation, taking time to wander the land, breathe in the fresh air, dip into the river and leave the busyness of everyday life behind.

Our first touch as a retreat group will be an Ayurvedic introduction with Karen, where the principles and guiding wisdom for the way the program has been curated, and how the food has been created and divined, will be shared. A chance to discover more about your own internal balance of elements and how we can interact with our environment to bring harmony and restoration to the body.

As evening falls, we'll enjoy a nourishing dinner before coming together for an opening ceremony led by Dmitry Glazkov and with contributions from all of our specially invited guests and co-collaborators. Through gentle intention setting and shared presence, we'll begin creating the container for the weekend ahead.

We end our first night around the campfire, accompanied by the ethereal tones of Aylon Akhande with her soaring, sensuous vocals, accompanied by incredible violinist Kartik Raghunathan. Together their soulful, devotional music spires into the stars, and with magic and firelight, we'll begin the journey into natural flow.

Saturday

Awaken, Express & Create

We greet the morning with an invigorating combination of expansive stretch, a wild swim and a wood-fired sauna. There's something magical about stepping into cool water as the world wakes up around you.

For morning practice, a rare chance to experience Dmitry's asana teachings. Rooted in hatha movement and himalayan yoga; drawn from the original kundalini parampara; and using the wisdom of ayurvedic personalisation in practice, this session of awakening posture and energising breath revolutionises your start to the day. Discover reserves of energy you never knew you had through power yoga techniques developed by Dmitry to support postural integrity, and work directly with the functional movement required for sitting meditations and supple daily physicality.

Late morning is devoted to voice activation with Api Acasco– a playful and liberating exploration of sound, expression and authentic voice. Api is a dynamic musician whose otherwordly and profound sound work reflects her explorative spirit and deep connection to diverse musical traditions. Expect to be guided through cathartic vocal release, group singing and empowerment, with Api's distinctive sound and grounded orchestration drawing on her exploration of jazz, free improvisation, circle singing, Spanish Folklore, West African drumming, Persian percussion, Hindustani raags, Aboriginal roots, Latin-American folklore, shamanic chants and indigenous traditions.

After lunch, participants choose their own adventure. One path is to journey into the woods for an immersive afternoon of creativity and connection. Chris Parks is a leading druid, storyteller and wisdom keeper of the British Isles. He takes you on a forest art vision quest, introducing the liminal nature of the woods as you walk up into the native broadleaf forests above Hardwick. Pausing deep in the thickets and groves, you are invited to create sacred art and craft, using the materials around you for inspiration and divination in a moving meditation of symbolic objects.

Back down by the river, on the other path, Dmitry explores altered states of consciousness with power of pranayama. Experience a powerful combination of breathwork drawn from ancient yogic traditions - breath practice which completely and utterly enriches your whole being with life-force prana. Saturated, the mind touches the cosmos, dancing on the edges of everyday perception, and the subliminal becomes the sublime. Accompanied by the sanctifying sounds of Lorena Rodrigo on chimes, crystal bowls and gong, this is a vast trip for the consciousness of the soul.

As dusk settles, we join for somatic movement with Anjeli, in elemental alignment - a session which uses the Ayurvedic understanding of the elemental world within and without to focus on how the five elements reiterate our interconnectedness to nature. Anjeli will guide us through each element with meditation, embodied movement, breath and voice, using nature as a teacher and mirror, softening and unwinding through intuitive, embodied practice.

The day culminates in a shamanic fire ceremony, accompanied by live musicians, drumming and spirit. As the flames leap, you are invited to leap higher, jumping the blaze and then conquering the hot coals as you walk barefoot on the embers. Face your fears and connect with the bravery of raw elemental force.

And after this, bringing us into sattva, into balance, into being, are the unbelievably talented Magic Tree Collective. Listen in wonder as these fairy musicians channel the sound of the gentle wild of the English landscape. Hear the song of the trees and of the river, the rich meadows and rolling downs, brought into audible frequency by these wondrous sonic enchanters.

Sunday

Rest, Integrate & Return Home

Our final morning begins gently with another optional wild swim and sauna, offering one last opportunity to immerse yourself in the elements.

Dmitry guides our final morning yoga session, allowing space to integrate the experiences of the weekend. Build on your strengthening practice from the day before as you add another level of resilience to your physical body, while finding stillness and centre in the flow of movement. Enter the day lithe and stretched, with ease of motion and calmness of mind.

We take a meal together, replenishing our energy

Late morning brings a nourishing yin and bhakti yoga session led by Emily Cobie – an invitation to soften, rest and reconnect with gratitude and joy.

Find all encompassing relaxation in the passive engagement of yin yoga, with extended pose holds allowing time for the nervous system to calm down and find the space and patience to fully rest. Emily weaves into this the ancient yogic path of devotion and 'yoga of the heart' - bhakti yoga. Rather than using physical postures it focuses on channeling human emotions—such as love, reverence, and surrender—into a deep, spiritual connection with the Divine or universal consciousness. A beautiful way to bring our weekend home.

Following lunch, we gather for a closing ceremony, sharing reflections and carrying the essence of the weekend with us as we prepare to return home.

Departures begin in the afternoon, leaving with rested bodies, open hearts and a renewed sense of connection – to ourselves, to nature and to one another.

Meet the team

Chris Park

is a Druid of the Order of Bards, Ovates & Druids, artist, musician, wisdom keeper and storyteller, immersed and versed in the ancient lore and wisdom traditions of the Isles of Britain. He is a folk singer and multi-instrumentalist, specialising in pipes, whistles and flutes and various strings, mainly versed in British folk music, song and dance, with a passion for Breton and French music too.

From arts and crafts, ancient technologies & eco-building to apitherapy, educational projects, solstice ceremonies & pilgrimage, Chris works with the liminal and the luminary, revering the traditions and wisdoms of this land and bringing this light to modern spirituality, ritual and animism.

He can be found holding space for the sacred as a ceremonial leader at numerous festivals and events across the UK, including Medicine Festival and Nature Awakening, has appeared as the resident Druid on BBC documentary, Surviving the Stone Age, and gives talks, lectures and guest appearances at events all over the country.

Chris knows the lands, waters and trees of Hardwick well, and we are very excited to share the special magic of Natural Flow with him. He will be co-hosting our Opening and Closing Ceremonies, venerating the elemental powers in our Fire Ceremony where we jump the flames and walk the hot coals, and leading the group into the forest on the Saturday afternoon for a druidic art pilgrimage, to connect with nature's creative energies.

This will be special!

Magic Tree

And for our Saturday evening headline slot, we are super excited to welcome back Api Ascasco with her latest collaborative project, Magic Tree Collective. When we saw the creations of this amazing group we just had to have them come to perform for you all.

With musical works such as 'Conversations with a Yew Tree', and 'Bluebell Forest', and their recent series of seven concerts where they have directed their intentions, music, and prayers, to each direction. East, West, South, North, Sky, Earth and Here & Now, we knew that we had to share this incomparable blend of nature inspired composition, deeply rooted in wild spirituality, seasonal cycles and shamanic ceremonial sound.

Etheric, tingling, timeless and truly enchanting, they weave sounds of cello, violin, drum and voice to create incredible soundscapes. This is a soul shivering moment not to be missed.

Magic Tree Collective will be providing the rhythms and the beats for your dancing feet after the Fire Ceremony, and then bringing your energy into sattva, into ground, for a full circle through the ceremonial landscape.
