Immerse yourself in nature as we journey into the healing coastal desert of Southern Baja California Sur, Mexico. This 7-day, 6-night wellness yoga adventure retreat with Lorraine includes 3 hotel nights (First night & last 2 nights) and 3 nights of lodging in authentic Baja casitas with a traditional palm-thatched roof, natural construction, and comfortable beds. Surrounded by coastal dunes and the Sierra Giganta Mountain range, the eco-center provides two palapas for yoga and meditation that are lined with relaxing Mexican hammocks. There are short walking trails with private access to the beach, a shaded outdoor dining area, sustainable shared bathrooms, and hot showers all nestled among the coastal scrub ecosystem. La Duna Ecology Center is the perfect beautiful setting where you can get back to nature and dive deep into your spiritual journey!
While at La Duna Activities/ Excursions will include: hiking, kayaking, SUP, snorkeling, good possibility to see sea lions, sea turtles, and small manta rays, swimming with the whale sharks (or view from the boat), Full Moon Ceremony, meditation, & of course yoga! You will be well taken care of with gourmet, nourishing cuisine and a Mexican cooking class will be sure to have you learning some secrets to Mexican cooking as well as delighting your taste buds! Your Mexican cultural experience includes Salsa Dancing too! Options for massage if booked in advance.
Next, we transfer to the Pacific Coast of Baja Sur Peninsula for yoga on the beach, a day of whale watching, and a possible dolphin encounter in a lagoon where grey whales mate and give birth before heading back north for the spring and summer months. This whale excursion is a not to be missed 'bucket list" experience; a night of hotel lodging on the beach & restaurant dining with views of Magdalena Bay and the freshest seafood and Mexican specialties!
Our final destination will be back to where we began in the beautiful seaside city of La Paz, Baja California Sur's capital! We will stroll along the 6-mile waterfront promenade boardwalk that borders the Bahia de La Paz, meaning "Peaceful Lagoon" and enjoy the city's old-world charm and village feel. The city is rich in historical heritage and Mexican culture. We hope to enjoy a beautiful sunset the town is known for, then enjoy a celebratory farewell dinner at a local specialty restaurant.
There is also the option to add on an additional day excursion to Todos Santos (and night in La Paz), visit the famous Hotel California, tour the town, practice yoga with Lorraine on the Beach and enjoy a catered Palm oasis lunch on the beach, travel back to La Paz by van to enjoy one last sunset and night on the town before heading back home the next day.

¡Bienvenidos a México! Welcome to Mexico!
After an exciting travel day, we will enjoy our first yoga session together in the city of La Paz. In Spanish, La Paz means, Peace, which is representative of the feel of this small bayfront town. La Paz is the capital city of the Mexican State of Baja California Sur with less than 300,000 inhabitants.
Following yoga with Lorraine, we will enjoy a nutritious and healthy welcome dinner. Around the dinner table, we can share our yoga inspiration, our backgrounds, and our expectations. We will meet our local biologist host and naturalist guide in a light orientation to our itinerary and logistics for our retreat.
Our first night will be spent in a comfortable 3-star hotel in La Paz, close to our launch point for the next day's adventure following sunrise yoga.
