After breakfast in Pokhara, you will travel from Pokhara to Chitwan. The drive from Pokhara to Chitwan takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. The road winds through hills, rivers, and charming villages, normally descending into the lowland Terai region. Upon arrival in Chitwan, you will enter a completely different environment, known for its warm climate, lush jungles, and rich wildlife. This marks the beginning of your jungle adventure in Chitwan National Park. It is especially famous for its rhinos, elephants, and many more wild animals, including the elusive Bengal tiger.
You will also be briefed about the activities in Chitwan. After the briefing, you will have time to have your lunch. The lunch will be followed by a cultural tour of the Tharu Village. The Tharus are indigenous people of Terai living there for more than 500 years, while still preserving most of their age-old fascinating culture. The same night, you will witness the famous Tharu Stick dance followed by dinner.
