Day 1
Return to Kathmandu

You'll be whisked down from the Athletes' Village into Kathmandu where you will be greeted by one of our guides (in fact, many of the guides may have run with us the day before so you might even recognise them!). You'll then be staying bang in the heart of Kathmandu tonight.  In the evening, we’ll gather for a traditional Nepalese welcome dinner where we’ll get to know each other and get briefed on the magnificent trek that lies before us!

Trip postponed due to Covid and political situation in Ethiopia so still haven't travelled

The trip itself was great, brilliant guides and amazing things to see. The organising and communications from the old town outfitters was poor - we had three different versions of timings and itineraries! It would have also been better if we’d had more free time at the lake (as at least one itinerary suggested...) as all the steps and the post marathon body did need a bit more tlc than it got on this trip

An amazing experience. Everything was so well organised - the team really go out of their way to make sure that everyone has an unforgettable experience. A great mix of travel, meeting some amazing people, giving back and running in a stunning national park. The run is suitable for anyone - from people walking the 10k to people completing their 50th Marathon! If you are thinking of booking Nepal 2020 then do it - you won't regret it!

An absolutely incredible week, and a totally unique experience. I’d echo the other reviews – Impact week’s are not your typical tourist trip: we got hands on helping rebuild a mountain road, had our eye’s opened with some challenging but inspiring charity visits, stayed in a fantastic location with some of the most stunning views, and best of all shared it all with some amazing people. I’d highly recommend Impact trips for anyone travelling solo, they’re a great way to meet a real mix of people from all over the world who are brought so closely together by the experiences over the week.
