The City Tour
Cotonou is a large port city on the south coast of Benin with historical infrastructure. This tour highlights monuments and landmarks as well as contemporary African Arts and Crafts industry.

• Visit the Foundation Zinsou museum [ Cotonou site]

• Take a Walking tour downtown of Cotonou

• Shopping for souvenirs at Artisanal Center

• Shopping for African Fabrics and accessories at Biggest West African Market [Dantokpa]

• Meet our seamstress for your measurement for African Attire

Later today we will head to Ghana for an unforgettable 2 - days experience.

Afrochella Festival 2019, Ghana
Today we will spend some time viewing the capital city's most iconic landmarks including:

* Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum

* Black Star Square

* James Town

* Mokola market

* The Arts Center.

We will return to freshen up at the hotel before heading to the biggest cultural and music festival in the country (Afrochella).

We will enjoy the best of the capital's nightlife like never before.

Elmina Slave Castle & Kakum National Park, Ghana
Today, we journey to the central region to visit the Cape Coast slave castle where it all began. We will experience the horror of the dungeons where slaves were kept to await the ships. After, we will pass through the "door of no return" where slaves exited and left their homeland. Today, the "door of no return" has been commemorated as the "door of return" to await the descendants of those who were forcefully taken. We will have an official welcome home ceremony here.

We will also visit the Kakum National Park. Kakum is a preserved rain forest with a canopy walkway that is suspended 30 meters above the ground on tree tops.

We will have lunch before departing to Accra.

Later in the day we will say good bye to Ghana and head back to Benin.

Beach time at Ouidah
Today we will depart to Ouidah.
Ouidah was where the slaves captured by the evil king of Dahomey were shipped across the Atlantic to the New World.

* Visit to the museum of Arts Foundation Zinsou museum [ Ouidah site ]
* Visit to the sacred python Temple
* The memorial Jubilee view

Exploring Cotonou
Today the team will try their hands on cooking some signature dishes of Benin.

We will have the rest of the day as a free time. You can explore Cotonou some more. Later in the night we will party to usher in the new year.

We will welcome the new year in the motherland with lots of fun.

Today we will enjoy a Spa at a hidden gem in Benin. We'll also go shopping in the city.

Later in the evening we will have our special farewell dinner before partying the new year away.
